Episode 26 "Not the Help We Were Looking For"

Runick and Takeo are prisoners to the Hades demons. Trevor tricks out his big bear suit. Kujira chases a dead end lead on a black pearl. MC Hammer leads raids on the demon camps.

 Kreesh, Frank, Oliver, and the Hood travel to the mountain to find the mage. Oliver sends another magic pigeon when they arrive, "We need to know where you are, we are here to meet you. Hagi has requested your help." Kreesh sings a song of joy a a small portion of the ley line begins to glow. The four of them choose to continue traveling along the ley line, up the mountain. After traveling for some time Oliver receives a response in the form of a magic pigeon. When the magic pigeon flies up it leaves a misty blue light tracing its flight path, it explodes and says, "We are over here." and the Blue light begins to fade beginning at Oliver back tracing the flight path. The party follows the fading flight path leading them to a few round huts encircled by round fences, and children playing soccer. They approach and Oliver begins acting as a commentator for the kids game. After a short while an old woman descends down the path from a small hut further back within the fence line. She introduces herself as Kaleb Swanson and invites them to sit down. Kreesh and Oliver plead for her the help.

Kaleb simply begins telling her story, "I was orphaned as a child, captured by the Splugorth Alien Race and made a slave, along with dozens of others. Then one day, in the 3rd Age of Dragonwright, a human man with incredible power and his strange traveling companions; a dragon, a cyborg mage, an elf wizard, and an evil cyber knight, came to the Splugorth town. And he freed us, he freed us all... 
His name was Sparticus Garth, and he was the buyer. Sparticus was a cold man, but a just one. When he first freed the slaves, we didn't know what to do. So we sought refuge in the wreckage of an alien ship, but alas many of us died due to the raids of monsters. When Sparticus returned to check on us, he found only children left alive and took pity on us. Sparticus fed us, cloth us, housed us, armed us and trained us the way he was.We became family and we grew strong to make him proud. He often displayed of great power when someone hurt or threatened on of us. Despite that, the rumor is nobody ever saw the full extent of his power. And he had one rule,.. 
Army of Thunder above all... 
Yes, those were the good days. I went to school in the city of Tolkeen and studied magic. All the meanwhile defending Tolkeen's southern borders from attacks, protecting the townsfolk and training new orphans to survive. We were a great army indeed, we spanned across the country with strongholds in different states. I even like to believe we saved the world once or twice. But alas as mighty as we were, those days are behind me. I have very little fight left in these old bones. I am afraid I can not help your cause as honorable as it maybe...
But perhaps... 
if your quest is as honorable as you claim, the peril is real, and your plead is great... 
Then just maybe HE will hear your call... 
Yes that may work, you see Sparticus ascended into something greater, he lies dormant within the ley line energy finally receiving the peace he so deserved. but its said if the need shall come he can be awakened...

The party gathers and Kaleb begins her preparations for the ritual it takes her 3 hours. She instructs the others to stand in a circle and to focus on their plea for help, focus on the terrible danger the earth is in. Kaleb utters an incantation, the wind begins to whip around and a mist forms. Multiple surges of lightning crack from the center of their circle and in a flash a man appears huddled over in the center spot of circle where the lightning is surging. The lightning stops and a naked man stands between them.

Kaleb snaps her fingers. One of the boys runs over with a arms full of clothes, Sparticus dresses. Kaleb walks forward and greets her General, informs him of the scattered troops across the world. Although he disband the Army of Thunder everyone had remained together for a time, then the Captains began venturing off to find places and people that needed our help. They had stayed in contact and can be reunited if need be. Each captain has an item of Sparticus that they keep guarded for his return one day. Kaleb gives Sparticus his Shadow Cloak and Magic Lightning Rod. Oliver comes forward and offers to have Sparticus scan him to speed up the process. He does and agrees to join their cause.Then they prepare to head back to meet with Hagi, Virgil, and Izen, in the village. Oliver donates 3 frost blade scrolls, 1 mystic alarm scroll, 1 TW silver cross energy field to the orphans, Frank gives them 3,000gp. They then return to the village.

When the party arrives back at the village Hagi, Vrigil, Izen and the village elders are there to greet them. They explain that the old woman couldn't help like they were hoping for, but they brought back Sparticus instead. They discuss methods of advancing the army, Virgil says on of his guys can create a mystic portal to allow people through the magic barrier. After agreeing that is the best choice, they are told to come back and meet tomorrow at the town hall. In the mean time the party decides to camp by a river just outside of town.

Kreesh spends his time fishing, hurling live fish a shore for the entire party, and searching for sunken ships. Oliver sits back and designs another schematic for a new TW item to create. After a while, Kreesh resurfaces dragging out a glass box with what looks like a man inside of it. Kreesh tells everyone to check out the box, and tells them he wants to sing a song of life and awaken the man.

The Hood recognizes the man as the connection he was to meet with and give a progress report to of the war effort. The Hood immediately agrees with Kreesh to revive the man. Kreesh tells them that it will need to be preformed back at the ley line where there is an abundance of magic energy to draw upon. They decide they will go later after they meet with the elders again. Kreesh sings to his box in anticipation.

They enter the Town Hall, only to see a horrid murder scene and samurai acting as crowd control. Three people lay dead on the floor; Virgil the head samurai, Ando and Shinzo also both samurai. One person hangs impaled on the wall forty feet high; Izen the famous Techno Wizard. The party inquires as to what happened, they are told that it appears that someone has betrayed them for the samurai never drew their swords. When they ask about the samurai that can cast mystic portal they are told it was Ando. Frank gets a glimpse of Izen hanging from the wall and recognizes what looks like hilts of Takeo's swords. He tries to use telekinesis to draw the swords to him, but can't seem to get a hold of them. Oliver offers to help investigate the situation, Limini the second samurai in command tells him it will be handled internally and asks him when the last time he saw Takeo was. Kreesh runs into Nymar in the crowd and discuss how this is potentially devastating to the cause and that Nymar will be returning to the sea. Hagi finds the party among the crowd, they exit the town hall and talk about what they will do now.

He says to them, "Let us let them do their investigation, for it seems we are an annoyance here. Besides, just yesterday Izen told me that he had finished the construction of a weapon that would ensure our victory. But he said it was still missing the key components, magic black pearls, and must be activated in the center of the hell pit. Izen said that you, Oliver McPherson, can complete it. Come let us go see it."

Oliver indeed offers to complete the work and they go visit Tigon. Tigon is a boy that was assisting Izen. He cries when they tell him that Izen is dead. Sobbing all the while he tells them that he didin't learn much from Izen, he was just a beginner. Oliver asks him how his training was going, the boy tells him his first project was a TW scuba mouth piece imbued with the spell breath with out air. Oliver tells the boy that they could really use such an item. The boy offers Oliver his only two, the one Izen gave him as an example and the one he built. Oliver hands out the TW scuba mouth pieces Frank and the Hood. Then he thanks the boy and reassures him that he will complete the generator looking weapon and defeat the demons. Oliver tells Hagi that they know of the black pearls and they will return to finish the generator.

They then return to the ley line with the glass box and man inside. Kreesh draws upon the ley line energy and begins his song. It takes a couple hours for him to draw enough energy to unleash the magic of the song. The man awakens and the glass box shatters. The man sits up wearily, Oliver tries to force bond the man and Kreesh get between them and protects the man. Kreesh attempts to speak with the man and find out how he came about being trapped in a glass box at the bottom of the river. The man thanks Kreesh for his help calls him his brethren.

Then the man says, "My name is Bakura. I am a liaison of the Sony Corporation. We have heard of the conflict here on the mainland. My boss has asked me to come and attempt to negotiate with the demon invaders. I imagine..."

The party tackles the man and put force bonds on him, "Why are you making deals with demons?"

Bakura replies, "... as I was saying, My boss sent me. We just want the senseless killing to stop. But I imagine the deals went bad. The last thing I remember was encountering a demon and that he didn't like the idea of our offer, the next thing I know I woke up here."

The party release the man and take him back to the village. As they bid their farewells Oliver catches a glimpse of a black pearl in Bakura's belt buckle. Oliver decides to follow him but is not very stealthy and is questioned as to what he is doing by Bakura. Oliver asks about the black pearl, Bakura says its a family heirloom and the conversation is left at that. They part ways.

The party talks to Limini the second samurai. He tells them Takeo is suspected of the murders. They have his swords locked in a magic box, for they were emitting evil energy.

They rest for the night. The Hood sneaks out and goes to meet Bakura at the bar without the party. The Hood asks Bakura where all the help is, he's told their won't be any if the magic barriers are not dropped. To contact him as soon as the are dropped and the army will be sent in. Sony will completely fund an invasion if the Hood can ensure entry to the capital city of Kyoto. Bakura also mentions that he recognized a man in town that worked for the Mitsubishi company, they need to be careful.

In the morning the party leaves fro the next magic barrier ring. When they arrive they decide to take the underwater passage that they took when they were making their way out of the center rings. The trip takes a full 24 hours as it did last time, with the party camping in the under ground cave. Kreesh again singing his song of joy to keep the ghouls away. While swimming through the underwater tunnels the party encounters a couple of tiger sharks. Kreesh manages to kill one with his sonic blasts. While Sparticus, in his no-nonsense manner, shoots an electric blast obliterating the tiger shark but slaging much of the parties equipment in the process.

When the party surfaces the following day they make their way ashore. A shadow passes overhead, they look up. A fire worm flies above like a tiny little dragon. The party freezes in amazement and stares up. The fire worm sees them and dives in attack. The party snaps out of its stupor and leaps to action. They quickly kill the fire worm. and decide they should rest and camp for the remainder of the day.As they rest a rift opens near them. At first it was about 10 feet in diameter, but immediately began pulsating and shrinking with each pulse. They can barely make out what seems to be the Millennium Tree through the mist. In a matter of 90 seconds the rift pulses away to nothing.

Episode 25 "Defend the Village"

Later May 12, 102 P.A.

The remaining members of the party fall back to a safe distance and watch stupefied, as the shogun's palace burns to the ground. Unsure of how to process the loss of Runick and Takeo, they discuss their next move.

Meanwhile, a magic pigeon comes flying up to Oliver and explodes in a voice message, "Great job! the Barrier has fallen. Our troops are already advancing to the village below. We will do our best to protect the villagers. Meet up with us after the battle if you can."

Trevor hops up on the reigns of the wagon and puts his new horsemanship skills to the test. After working with Takeo nearly a year, Trevor seems to have the hang of it. The party rides at full speed to the village, coming up on a horrid battle scene. The party charges directly at the Balrog barking orders, taking up the rear. The village samurai, and army of humans (once they arrive) make short work of this rookie platoon of Gallu Bull Demons.

The party attacks the Balrog and when they seem to have the upper hand, the demon teleports away. They meet up back at the village and start to heal the wounded and fix some of the wreckage. Hagi introduces the party to a friend of cause, The Hood. Hagi explains that he knows the Hood from back in Takamatsu City, And that the hood is here to help defeat the Hades demons and stop them from completing the construction of a Hell Pit. The Hood tells them that his connections back in Takamatsu have heard of the war effort here on the mainland and send their support, if the magic barriers can be dropped an army from Takamatsu will come help.

Trevor and Frank make a deal with the samurai to have the hover APC and Big Bear Robot power armor brought to the front lines from where they were left. The samurai agree and tell them it'll take 2 days, to get equipment that large sent back over the mountain. The party rests for a couple days waiting on their equipment to arrive. They also inquire around town about a local mage, and are told the only one they can think of is the old women, that runs the orphanage on the mountain. Oliver sends a magic pigeon to the old woman, "We are coming to meet you, to ask for your aid."

Episode 24 " Just In Time..."

Looking down on the 3rd ring's palace the party sees a group of 16 Gallu Bull Demons and a Balrog. Not far from the group of demons sits the shogun's palace with only a steal gate and a small group of mystified human guards separating them. Just as it looks like the demon platoon is going to advance on the gates, they sit to rest. The party is perplexed and argue with what they should do. As night fall approaches Runick decides to prowl away from the group and down to the shogun's palace. He scouts out the back, its clear. Runick returns to the party and talks them into going to the back of the palace. When they all prowl down to the back end of the palace they here a large creak of the palace gates. They scurry into positions where they can see the gate open.

Two lines of dozen human guards file out of the gate in formation and for a path way. Then a small unassuming human shogun proceeds down the guard path. The Balrog stands and meets the shogun at the end of the guard line. The party witnesses them exchange a few words, and in the same fashion that he arrived the shogun retreated back into his palace.

The Balrog turns and bellows, "The time of the reaping is nearly upon us. We must go to the villages and heard the sheep to city of Kyoto. The Emperor was wise indeed to allowing the people to live in peace,.. never the wiser that they're being kept for the grand blood sacrifice. Our brethren will flow into this dimension thousands and we shall feast upon it endless supply of souls. Now go bring the humans!"

The Gallu Bull demons turn and begin to march off to the villages near by. Takeo acts quickly and runs off into the woods making a racket successfully luring 6 of the bull demons in his direction. The rest of the party rush to help and they dispatch of a half dozen bull demons. Oliver then sends a magic pigeon to Hagi to warn that the remaining demons approach the village and that they will drop the magic barrier. The party sneaks around back climbs the fence and go in through a window on the second floor.

Once inside Frank Hamilton feels the effects of a compulsion spell and convinces the rest of the party he knows the way to the throne room, only leading them into a trap. The party is imprisoned in a cell, Runick grabs the bars and melts them. Just as he goes to walk through the hole he falls to the floor paralyzed. The remaining party members start fleeing. Takeo is compulsed  to removed the helmet of his friends. Once removing Frank's helmet, Frank is compulsed to capture Trevor. Oliver and Trevor make a run for it. In the turmoil Runick recovers from his paralysis and runs to Trevor and Oliver's aid. Runick bursts into flames and begins running through the palace setting everything on fire. Takeo chases him and takes a few swings at Runick with his sword but misses each time. Even when Takeo is sure to deliver a death blow to his friend his hand jerks at the last second.

Runick finds the throne room. When he sees the shogun he rushes him with Takeo close behind. Then just a few feet before his intended target he stops, and does Takeo. Runick's has fallen to the compulsion and his flame is extinguished. In the chaos of the burning palace Frank is free from his compulsion and decides to psychically track Takeo and Runick. Oliver, Trevor and Frank running through the burning hallways following the "scent" upstairs.

Arriving upstairs just in time to see Takeo, Runick and the Shogun pass through a stargate. The floor begins collapsing and Frank begins to air walk out of the window and down to the ground. Oliver pulls out his wing board and flies out of the window hovering around. Trevor runs to the stargate and uses his abilities to read it, he only gets a destination, the 1st Ring. Trevor makes a mad dash for the window and dives.

As Trevor comes flying out of the window the roof caves in and the shogun's palace comes crashing down. Trevor hurls toward the ground.

Just in time Oliver swoops down and catches Trevor by the wrist, saving him from going splat on the ground.

Episode 23 "Help from... Friends?'

May 6 102 P.A.

Oliver receives a magic pigeon response from Izen telling hive to meet tomorrow in the bar at the Techno Wizard exclusive hotel. Meanwhile, back on the mainland in the village Runick sits making leather armors from the demon hides.

The party, on Shikoku Island, is awakened by a knock at the door of the hotel room. After deliberating for a minute, Frank decides to open the door. A maid is standing on the other side, upset for being woken up Frank shots "Go Away!" and slams the door in her face. About 2 minutes later there is knock at the door, Frank again gets up to open the door. This time he sees a box on the floor. Immediately Frank put a Telekinetic Force Field around the box and uses his Telekinesis to open the box.

Inside the box there appears to be a jar and a letter. They inspect the contents of the box up close. The letter is addressed to Takeo and reads, "My friend, I am so glad to see you have returned safe and unharmed. I hope you were successful in acquiring my item. I will meet you at the bar down the street from your hotel. Enclosed you will find a gift to help you on you travels. Your friend, Crowley." When Takeo takes the jar out of the box he sees a fairy that appears to be weak and near death inside of it. Immediately Takeo wants to free the fairy.

However, he is talked out of it by Oliver who understands TW items and explains that they may inadvertently kill the fairy. They agree to find someone that could free the fairy later. Frank asks to see the jar, when he grabs it he senses the magic energy emitted by it. He begins to feed off of the magic energy and fairy begins to shriek in agony. Takeo snatches the jar from Frank, and Frank halfheartedly apologizes. Takeo attempts to talk to the fairy but it seems they can't hear each other. Trevor uses his mirror of true seeing to see the party, and seeing a twinge of evil from Frank. The party decides to leave the hotel and go meet Izen.

On the way out of the room they see the maid from earlier. Trevor pulls out the mirror of true seeing and uses it to look at the maid. As he gazes upon the true form of a Harpie Trevor shouts his new discovery to the rest of the party. Frank, Takeo, and Oliver sense magic and see it coming from a ring with a black pearl, on the maids hand. A battle ensues and the hotel hallway catches fire, and they manage to cave the floor in for 5 stories below. After killing the harpie Frank air walks across the divide and retrieves the ring. The party flee in the midst of the chaos.

Takeo asks to borrow the mirror of true seeing from Trevor and goes to meet Crowley at the bar. When he arrives he goes to the bar, has a seat and orders a drink. When he takes a sip and put his glass down, Crowley is sitting in the bar stool next to him. Takeo gives Crowley the Millennium Tree Leaf and tells him this makes him good on the deal they made, the compulsion leaves Takeo. Crowley asks if they managed to drop all of the magic barriers between hear and the Millennium Tree. Takeo tells him that they managed without doing so. Crowley looks disappointed, then says, "Well you've made good on your end of the deal."

Takeo reaches for the mirror of true seeing in his pocket and secretively attempts to use it while hiding it along side his leg. He averts his eye toward the mirror, and sees only an empty bar stool. When he looks back at Crowley, he sees only an empty bar stool. Crowley has vanished.

After Takeo's meeting with the mysterious Crowley, they go to the Continental Hotel. Izen is awaiting Oliver and they all get in the vehicle and drive back to the dock to board a ship back to the mainland. On the way back Kreesh decides to swim along the ship. They all return to the village in the 5th ring, and find Runick has made several leather armors and cloaks from the demon hide, giving it a resistance to fire. Trevor, Oliver and Kreesh work together to fix the Frank's crashed hover vehicle. When it is done they travel back to the top of the mountain to the passage through the 3rd ring barrier. The passage through the magic barrier is to small for the hover APC to fit. Everyone disembarks and changes into the robes that they bought. Then they head through the barrier and toward the town in which the had fled with the help of the samurai.

As they approach the city Oliver, Takeo, and Trevor encounter some lawmen. Takeo instigates a battle and the lawmen are killed. Takeo feels a void in his connection to his new swords begin to form, as if they disagree with what he did. After the battle the rest of the party comes out of hiding, and Kreesh and Frank go into the city to find the samurai. They manage to set up a meeting with Virgil the lead samurai. The party meets and the samurai tell them they managed to save the wagon the party had left behind. The wagon and equipment stored in the hidden compartment are returned to the party. They get information as to where the Shogun's Palace for this ring is and they set off for it.

As the party travels along a leyline. As they come upon the Shogun's Palace they see a platoon of demons marching into a large rift leading to the Astral Plane. After a short while the majority of the demon troops disappeared into the misty realm and rift closes. The party looks upon the sight in horror.

Episode 22 "Birth Right"

After the battle Frank gets out of the crashed APC and figures its done for. He uses telekinesis to get all of the gear out of the vehicle. Hagi comes flying in and gives a speech to the remaining troops, declares victory, and orders them to return to town. Afterward he talks with the party. He offers them a chance to reload back at the town. Trevor asks for missiles, Hagi tells him he's welcome to what they have. Oliver asks Hagi for transport back to the mainland to pick up the TW and where the Mage they need to find is, Hagi says they only have a small fishing boat they could use and the mage is in the 3rd ring. Trevor goes to look at the APC while they talk and gets it to fire up. Just as the car starts up Frank's 6th sense goes off, and he immediately puts a telekinetic force field up.

A Night Owl Demon appears from nowhere in the sky. Before they know it they find themselves in a battle, as the night owl animates the dead from the casualties. The night owl turns invisible and continues to increase the number of undead. Takeo jumps into the sky with a wild strike and hits the owl demon. Runick shuts his eyes and sense where the owl is with his bow and sticks a couple arrows in him. Seeing the arrows Trevor has a target and take the final blow with his rail gun shattering the owl's force field and leaving a dust up of feathers. The party loots the remains and find; 1880 gold, Tanto of Hellish Poison, and a Mirror of True Seeing. Takeo wraps the mirror in a cloth and puts it away. Trevor picks up the tanto and Takeo warns him of the poison, Trevor carefully puts it away. Runick picks up 100 owl feathers They split the gold and get into the big bear. Although the APC fired up it isn't in flying shape, so they carry it back with the Big Bear Robot.

 On the way back the party comes across a single man dressed in green riding alone with an enormous sack on his back. The man rides directly toward the Big Bear Robot, the party stops. " 'Hello there, my name is Sheamus and I have the finest weeds in the land." says the man in green. He then reaches down and pulls a large fat wooden pipe bowl from his saddle bag revealing a rather lengthy thin stem to draw from. Sheamus then lights the pipe, takes a draw, then holds it up in offering to the Big Bear Robot. Trevor opens the hatch to the robot and introductions are made. After some trading the party is off leaving the weed dealing traveler to continue on his way, as they themselves continue on back to town. They arrive at 4 am, and Frank pays to rent a garage to park the Big Bear Robot. The most of the party sleeps in the garage around the Big Bear Robot. Frank gets a hotel room to sleep in. In the morning the Runick awakens and retrieves the demon hides he had skinned. Runick begins preparing the hides to make leather armor out of them. Oliver spends his time drawing up schematics for a new TW item. Trevor begins working on the Big Bear Robot and souping it up. Takeo goes off to meet the bow maker at his tent.

The bow maker invites him in, "Are you ready to accept your birthright?"

Takeo responds, "As a matter of my character, I've had deals with evil, and where the less virtuous would have handled it differently. I don't expect to have a clean soul."

The bow maker asks Takeo to present his sword. Takeo tries to hand it to the bow maker and is scolded for his lack of manners. Takeo gets down on one knee and presents the sword properly. The bow maker take Takeo's sword from him, inspects it, then turns his back to Takeo. The old bow maker mutters and incantation and cuts the inside of his forearm with the sword.

He turns and faces Takeo, "Now your father's sword."

Takeo presents his fathers sword, the bow maker says an incantation. "Now strike me!"

Takeo swings his father's sword and bow maker does not react. The sword makes contact, a bright light flashes, shattered metal flies through the air, Takeo's eyes close, he feels a lack of weight in the sword. When Takeo opens his eyes he looks upon his sword, piercing the earth, its shinny new hilt beckoning him. He looks around, no sign of the bow maker. He looks at his hand, at the hilt of his father's shattered sword, only to see a perfectly formed short sword with a matching hilt to sword in the ground. Takeo draws the sword from the ground and rush of power washes through him. A whisper of a voice rings in his ears, "You are our last hope."

The party rearms and gathers supplies from the convoy of equipment they hijacked and brought to the village. The party then leaves Runick to his work in the garage, making demon hide leathers, and travel to the coast and acquire a ride aboard a large ship to Takamatsu City on Shikoku Island. On the boat ride Oliver manages to craft his TW globe of daylight wand, and sends a magic pigeon to Izen. Frank uses his streetwise to talk to someone about getting them a ride back to the mainland in 2 days. They then fetch a taxi and ask to go to the Auto Repair shop, while there Trevor purchases a hover propulsion engine to fix Frank's CS Hover Vehicle APC. The party then shops for traditional Japanese robes. And they rent a hotel room.

Oliver receives a magic pigeon fro Izen, "I will be ready to go in half a day as agreed upon."

Oliver responds with a magic pigeon, "Where will we meet? Hagi awaits us on the mainland. We just won a great battle. Now is the time to join the Revolution!"

Ever since the party has returned to Takamatsu City, Takeo has been feeling the compulsion growing to a point where he could no longer resist. Takeo has to fulfill his end of the deal to Crowley, and begins eyeing
Oliver's Millennium Tree leaf. he considers killing Oliver for a second but that feeling washes away quickly. Compelled, Takeo offers to trade the mirror true seeing for the leaf. Oliver declines and says he wants the tanto of hellish poison that Trevor has. Takeo attempts to trade with Trevor for the tanto. Trevor says Takeo can't be trusted with such an evil weapon. So the three of them preform a triangle trade, so each person receives the item that they wanted.

April 29 102 P.A.

Oliver McPherson wakes up sore, still recouping from his wounds, in his luxurious hotel room. Oliver attempts to contact Frank's APC radio, there is no response. Oliver gears up with his weapons and armor and heads downstairs in search of breakfast. When he arrives in the lobby the concierge asks Oliver if he will be leaving before breakfast. Oliver inquires about breakfast and the concierge tells him, "Breakfast is complementary here at the Continental, but you can't wear... walk around all geared up. I assure you, you are safe within the walls of the Continental. You will make the other guest nervous and uneasy." Oliver goes back to his room to shed his armor and weapons, then returns to the dinning room. He sees people sitting at tables eating, Oliver sits at one of the empty tables. On the table he sees a button that says press for service. Oliver presses the button and almost immediately a waitress comes out and asks him what he would like. Oliver asks for a menu, she tells him, "There are no menus at the Continental." He orders a Canadian breakfast with Orange Juice, it comes out rather quickly.

In another fancy hotel not to far away, Takeo Takahido awakes in the luxurious hotel room, that the rest of the party is staying in. Wearing only his traditional robe undergarments Takeo begins stretching. Frank Hamilton wakes up to see Takeo stretching and everyone else still asleep. While bending over Takeo's left nut falls out of his undergarments. Frank seizes the opportunity to mess with Takeo. He uses his telekinesis to flick Takeo's testicle, then laid back down and pretended to sleep. Takeo flinches in pain and turns in time to see Frank throwing himself down, closing his eyes, pretending to sleep. Takeo continues his stretches, as the rest of the party members begin to awake.

Trevor Burnside, Runick Skyknight and Takeo head downstairs to look for beakfast. Nobody has seen Kreesh since they left him downstairs in the outdoor pool with his killer whale friend Kujira, last night. Frank goes to his APC to radio Oliver, no response. He notices a message has been sent and needs to be opened.

Frank reads the message; Hamilton, Frank - private 1st class Psi-Slayer- Our situation is drastically changing fast here. We need you to return now, and bring back -Burnside, Trevor - Citizenship Candidate Psi-Tech. The Magic Zone threatens our existence and those we've held as allies for years may not be the loyalist Coalition States that we believe them to be. We need all resources on hand, you have 2 months to return to the city of Chi-Town. You have been wired 600,000 credits to aid you in your speedy return.


Frank returns to the hotel room dinning area. In there he sees everyone else eating and grabbing food from a buffet style line. When everyone is finished eating they decide to head for the Continental, along the way Oliver radios the APC again. Frank tells Oliver that they are already on the way to pick him up. Oliver checks out of the Continental and waits for them outside.


Oliver tells the party that Izen the TW has agreed to come with in 1 weeks time. Runick suggests that they secure passage back to the New Empire. So they drive to the docks in Takamatsu City, when they arrive they see passenger ships and cargo ships. Frank uses his street wise to spot the foreman of the cargo area. Frank negotiates with the foreman and pays for safe passage in exactly 1 week at noon aboard the ship the Shunkan Kaiju in dock 20, in exchange for 170,000. The foreman warns him not to mention this deal to anyone and to just board the ship. "If you ask no one will know anything about a deal, and you can be considered as stowaways. But if you keep you head down my men won't say anything."


After securing passage, the party travels to the market district. Takeo and Trevor notice the tower that was attacked by the weapons system that Trevor created is being rebuilt. Runick buys a ream of paper, some needles and thread. Oliver trades a gem for 3 Thunder Clap scrolls, some copper wiring, and miscellaneous parts.Trevor borrows money from Frank and purchases a TW Lightning Mace. Frank purchases a TW Flame Sword and TW Flame Dagger and has them inscribed with the CS skull and the the initials F.H. Takeo trades his flame sword for 1 scroll of house of glass, 1 scroll of life source, and 1 scroll of invisibility simple. He also trades his Plasma Knight Sword for a scroll of Domination.


While shopping a magic pigeon flies up to Takeo and disperses revealing its message. The voice of the high priest says, "Takeo the Millennium Tree has fallen. It has gone missing and so has your brother Shonen. The Resistance has been halted in the 4th ring. We need your help!"

The party hurries back to the docks and find the foreman. Frank asks about leaving immediately and getting a ride back. The foreman makes a deal to get him out on a ship leaving in an hour, but no arrangement was made for the return trip. They do know that a ship will be passing by in 3 days. Oliver suggests taking a stargate, like the ones he was commissioned to fix. They travel baack to the T.W. shop and inquire about the portals. The shop owner tell them that stagates are rare in Japan. It's said the 2 towers of Mitsubishi and Sony have stargates in them. With no luck, they return to the ship docks and the party quietly gets on the boat and keep their heads down, as instructed. Nobody says anything to them as they stay seemingly quiet. As the ship starts moving Takeo loses his balance and bumps into Frank's flame swords, as he was showing them off. The ship ride will be 14 hours long.


Oliver drafts a sketch of 6 of the 9 tools that were in the bow makers tent. He also sells Frank 2 carats of diamond for $30,000. After arriving on shore the party quickly drives back to the 5th ring, in Frank's APC. Trevor retrieves the Big Bear Robot vehicle and Takeo goes with Runick to see the old drunk. Takeo tries talking with the old man and shows him his swords. The old dunk continues to drink and talks a little about the demon qullers' society, hen passes out. Takeo and Runick carry him back to his tent. The party then gears up and is ready to get going.


Before getting in the APC, Oliver tries to send a magic pigeon to Shonen, the pigeon flies up, circles a few times, falls out of the sky, and dissipates. The party then radio Hagi but don't get an answer, so they drive toward the battle. They see some troops retreating and hear that Hagi was leading the charge and hasn't been seen since yesterday. The rest of the troops have fallen back for now. The party quickly heads to the front lines of the battle.


When they arrive the see a small platoon of demons and fall back. Oliver sends a series of magic pigeons to various people: to Hagi "We came back to find you, but can't see you. It seems the frontlines are overrun. Where are you at?" to Ruoku "We heard the Millennium Tree is missing, we need to know where you are? Where's Shonen?" to Izo the pigeon dissipates, to Nymar "We can really use some of your ocean magic" and to the High Priest the pigeon dissipates. After a short while a magic pigeon comes flying in toward them. The message is from Hagi, "So glad you guys are back. We are getting our over run, tell me you brought the TW back with you. I don't know how many have made it, but a small group of us are held up in a small cave to the west." The party goes to look for the cave and they get waved down by one of the rebels.

Takeo and oliver go into the cave to meet with Hagi. Hagi asks them to rally the troops that have fallen back and get them to charge the remaining demon monsters in one last attack. Hagi gives them a magic medallion as a symbol to show the troops to let them know Hagi is alive. As they leave Hagi gives a riveting motivational speech and troops get all riled up. Frank drives them to round up the other troops.The party and rebels fight heroically and defeat the demons. Frank cashed the APC during the battle, Runick skins some demons. The party recieve a magic pigeon from Ryoku, "Shonen is nowhere to be found."

After the battle and looting, Runick tries to use his wilderness tracking in this home/workshop, but can't determine anything out of the usual. Frank beings checking the tables for clues and finds a brochure with a picture of a building on it and its written in a language he doesn't know. Frank shows it to the rest of the party. Trevor can read it and says its in Technocan. Trevor reads it and tells everyone its for a TW exclusive hotel resort named the Continental. Trevor then inspects the cybernetic hand that he looted. He finds, a utility laser finger, camera finger, computer jack finger... and a tracking beacon. He tells everyone, Runick casts frequency jam. Trevor removes the tracker and they discuss  what to do with it. Runick wants to hide it somewhere and Trevor want to ty to trace the signal back to them. Eventually they just throw it in the channel that runs though the streets and they leave. They notice that M.C. Hammer is no longer with them, having wandered off being back in the town where Takeo, Shonen and Tevor first met him.

Frank drive the CS armored personnel carrier west to the fist gas station that they find.  Frank gets out and purchases a map, and tips the store clerk for directions. They go to the Continental and see the valet parking and go around the corner to park. They see various people coming in and out of the Continental, four large guys standing out front, a concierge, and a door man. They attempt to walk toward the Continental and are immediately approached by the concierge. He asks, "May I see your membership?" They don't have one and inquire about obtaining one. "Are you all Techno-Wizards?" They respond no, except Oliver who says yes. "Well, I am sorry gentlemen this club is exclusive to TW's. You may friend are welcome to obtain more information on a membership inside, once your pass a quick screening to prove you are indeed a techno-wizard." Oliver consents to the  screening and is allowed access inside. The rest of the party agrees to come back in a few hours to see if Oliver has found any clues on where to find Izen.

Trevor tells everyone that he wants to sell the cybernetic hand that he looted. So, they all go to the business district nearby. Along the way Frank Hamilton receives a message on his APC computer, "Psi-battalion Capt. Stone to Pvt. Hamilton. Glad to here you've located the subject, Burnside. Complete the mission and return to base as soon as possible. We have transferred your per mensem totaling 40,000 credits for the last 4 months.  Tervor sells the hand, Frank sell the 2 vibro-swords, and everyone buys supplies. While in the store Kreesh manages to get everyone a discount by singing a song of joy. After the shopping they head to a nice hotel.

Runick, Frank, Takeo, Tevor and Kreesh check into the hotel. When they arrive at the rooms they are at opposite ends of  the hallway. Takeo and Kreesh head to one room while Frank, Trevor and Runick go to the other room. When they open the  doors both parties see a ninja-borg in the room. The ninja-borgs flee through the windows. Trevor and Franks sixth sense  goes off and they start unning out of the room and toward the other room. Runick follows after them. In the other room Takeo tries to capture the ninja-borg with a magic net but misses. Takeo then begins to inspect the room. Kreesh continues to stand in the doorway. After 30 seconds, fusion blocks hidden in the rooms explode.

The three party members running through the hallway see their new friend Kreesh blown back beck the explosion. Worried they continue to help Kreesh and see what has become of Takeo. When they look in the room they see Takeo standing there in this bun robes coughing slightly. Thanks to many years of body hardening training Takeo was not seriously injured by the blast of the explosion. The party regroups then decides to leave he hotel before the ninja-borgs come back to finish the job.

Trevor tells the party that he met a hero of this town named the Hood, and tells them that he has a lair near by. They walk to the car and Frank mentions, what if they put a bomb in the APC. Kreesh hits the ca with and EMP burst. Frank can't get the APC to tun on. The party decides to walk while frank waits and tries to get the APC started. They arrive at the spot where the Hood's underwater lair. Takeo tells them it's down there and jumps in the water, Kreesh follows him.They go into the lair and it looks the same, completely ransacked. Takeo remembers that he had inadvertently lead the Hood's enemies back there last time. They immediately swim out.

When they get back to the surface, two large trucks pull up on either side of the channel running through the street. Runick crushes some people with an ice wall, and the others mange to hold them off, until Frank arrives in the APC and fires a couple of missiles. The party gets in the APC and they flee the area. The party questions Takeo as to what happened, he tells them that he knew that the location was compromised and didn't think of it. They travel in search of a safe place to stay.

Meanwhile, Oliver enters the lavish lobby of the Continental. He pays a one time membership and rents a room. Then inquires about Izen, Oliver is immediately told, "No business is to be conducted on the grounds of the Continental. The Continental is a safe zone, anyone who breaks the rules or fractures the safety of the Continental shall incur very serious penalties."  With that being said the clerk tells Oliver that most people converse in the lounge area. Oliver goes to the lounge and asks
the bartender if he knows who Izen is. After sliding the bartender a tip, he is pointed toward a man sitting in the coner with long blonde hair and a black mustache. Oliver goes up to the man and introduces himself. The man is standoffish at first but then Oliver appeals to his vanity. Oliver tells the man that he has heard of his greatness and would like to study with him. The man admits to being Izen and invite Oliver to sit down. Oliver begins talking about the resistance and tells Izen he was sent to bring him back. Izen tells Oliver that he needs to prove his power and loyalty.

Oliver is given two tasks given two tasks by Izen. The first to prove his power; Oliver must build a TW item of his own design, and the second Oliver must find a man by the name of Kai and tell him that he is with the resistance. Oliver radios Frank's APC and contacts the party. They drive back to the Continental to pick up Oliver. He tells them about his encounter with Izen, as thy drive to the place where they need to see Kai.Oliver and Kreesh both go into the building that looks like a bar. The guards stop them and ask them to disarm before they will be allowed into the bar. They reluctantly disarm and enter the bar. The rest of the party stay outside in the car.

Oliver and Kreesh ask to speak with Kai. They are frisked again then lead into the backroom. Oliver begins speaking with Kai, he says, "We are with Resistance." Kai's eyes get really wide and he shouts, "Kill them!" The security in the room draw energy pistols and rifles, and open fire on Oliver and Kreesh. Oliver takes a few shots and is seriously injured. Kreesh acts fast to try to save Oliver and casts Impervious to Energy on himself and Oliver. Kreesh then uses his Sonic Blast and manages to get Oliver out of there. They get in the car and drive back to the Continental as fast as possible. On his way into the Continental the concierge asks Oliver if he will be needing the services of the hotel doctor. Oliver asks how much, the services are free when you stay at the Continental. Oliver asks for the Doctor and goes to his room. A few minutes later the Doctor comes to Oliver's room and stitches him up with TW nanobot medical kit. Oliver asks the Doctor to give a message to Izen. The Doctor leaves, and a couple hours later Izen comes to his room. Oliver asks about what happened with Kai, Izen tells him that Kai is with the opposite side and works with demons. "I had to know you were loyal to the cause. What better way than for you to let the enemy know of your allegiance." Izen agrees to go with Oliver back to the New Empire, but he is not ready. "Come back in 1 week. I'll be ready by then." Oliver asks about being Izen's apprentice. Izen replies, "Ah, very well you have proven yourself. Perhaps you have what it takes to be my apprentice. One final task and I will take you on as my apprentice. I am in need of some magic pearls that come from deep beneath the seas. They are extremely rare and hold magical properties. I have recently heard rumors that some of those pearls are circulating though Japan right now. Bring me five of those pearls and you have yourself a TW Master. Here take this TW phone it can cast a magic pigeon. " Oliver agrees and gets some rest after Izen leaves.

The rest of the party check into a fancy hotel downtown for the night.

One month ago... An undersea's village, inhabited by pnema-bioform creatures, falls into chaos during the night. Something has happened causing the people of the village to panic. The following morning a powerful warrior pnema-bioform killer whale is summoned to the elders halls. Upon arriving the killer whale is addressed,

"Kujira... You are one of our greatest young warriors. Last night someone has defiled our sacred temple and stole forty of the black pearls of guile. As you know these pearls contain great magic, these rare pearls are only produced one per year. Our village has guarded the pearls from falling into the hands of those who would do evil with them, or worse if they were to fall into the hands of the Lord of the Deep, he might rise and walk the earth. All of our seasoned warriors have other quest, so it falls to you. Retrieve the black pearls of guile and return them safely to the temple. You must retrieve all forty of these pearls. If you succeed, perhaps there will be a future for you as a seeker, for we must always collect what does not return. It has always fallen to us to keep these from the Lord of the Deep. Here we bestow upon you five of the black pearls of guile, they will allow you hold you transformation indefinitely as long as you have them embedded in your skin. We will also bestow upon you this magic trident, it holds the power to bind with its wielder. It will grow more powerful the longer it's bound to you and you can hurl it with incredible accuracy and it will magically reappear in your hand when you call for it, but I must warn you if someone else were to wield the trident you would not be able to magically call it back to your hand, and if someone wields it for longer than 24 hours it will begin to bind with the new wielder and your bond will be broken. Most importantly though the trident will glow blue in the presence of stole black pearls of guile, only pearls that were embedded traditionally will not activate this ability. One of our other young warriors was recently sent out on a quest to seek the help of the New Empire's Emperor. Seek him out, his name is Kreesh, he is already in the lands rumored to be where the pearls have turned up. You may be able to help each other. He is trusted will finding help to defeat the Lord of the Deep and you are now trusted in finding the peals and preventing the Lord of the Deep from rising... Go now Kujira, you're our hope in light of this new situation."

Now...

Kujira has found himself in the city of Takamatsu on Shikoku Island. He has come because his intel has lead him here, to the Blackmarket capital of all of Japan. Kujira believes that this is his best bet to find further leads on the pearls. Kujira checks into a hotel for the night. As Kujira walks through the hotel following the bellhop to his room, he walks past the pool and sees a pnema-bioform dolphin turn into dolphin form and splash around in the pool. Kujira becomes very excited to see the dolphin in the hotel pool. He runs and jumps into the air, turning into his true killer whale form, he dives into the pool. Kujira causes a huge splash and sends the majority of the water out of the pool. Kujira and Kreesh immediately befriend each other and share the stories of their quests. Kujira has finally found Kreesh.

After traveling with the caravan for a couple hours they arrive at a small village near the edge of the 5th & 6th ring. When they arrive they are greeted by Izo the same man that had lead the to the forward camp from the beach. Izo tells them, "We are safe here, please feel free to look around town. We need not worry of demon attacks this far into the 5th ring. We've taken the rings prior to this and have managed to drop the barriers along the way. So this is our land again!"

Runick and Kreesh set off looking for the old drunk bow maker, and the rest of the party looks for Hagi. After a short walk around town Takeo spots Hagi, he runs up Trevor, Oliver and Frank behind him. Hagi greets them and thanks them for their help in the battle, "Pitty we could hold just a little longer. Thanks with escorting the caravan back. You guys have grown stronger since I last saw you. You should join us, what happens here won't just effect these people. All of Japan, the World is in danger. There are some people I'd like you to meet, the Elders of the Resistance would very much like to speak with you... Come lets go feast at the bar then we can meet the Elders later tonight. They have called for a gathering."

Runick and Kreesh in the mean time had found the old drunk bow maker in the bar... duh. Runick buys the drunk a couple drinks and proceeds to question him on his bow making skills, and trying to imply that he needs a bow made. The bow maker tells repeatedly that the best archers make their own bows, especially if they were of something as valuable as a Millennium Tree branch. Runick asks the man for help making a bow. The bow maker agrees to allow Runick to use his tools and over look the creation of the bow if Runick agrees to set up his tent in town. Runick agrees to set up the tent. When he asks where the old man says, "Where else up against the side wall of the bar."

While in the bar Kreesh notices many people surging with magic energies, and many of them with weapons surging all the same. A humanoid man with pointy ears and gills catches Kreesh's eye, or more so the man's weapon does. A trident glowing with magic energy, naturally intrigued this underseas creature. For this is weapon of underseas origins, and a rare one at that. Kreesh introduces himself to the man and reveals his dolphin form. The man invites Kreesh to sit down, "I am Nymar, 'tis good to meet someone from underseas. I don't often come across others like us. Have you join the resistance as well?.. No? Well you should... Me? I left home many years ago in search of those that captured my wife, family and slaughtered my village. Only with this (holds up staff). A magic trident inherited from my father, as he inherited from his and so on. I have had many great adventures and made many great friends, but alas when I finally caught up with the vermin my wife and family were already dead. My friends and I laid waste to them all, but in the end it brought no comfort. So I set out to help all those I could, and now I find my self a part of this resistance against a rising demon threat." Kressh and Nymar talks for awhile, and Nymar tells Kreesh all about what has been happening with the missing Emperor and the demon that is posing as the Emperor. Kreesh tells Nymar how he has agreed to join the cause and defeat the demon fake, then search for the true Emperor with his recently made friends.

Later that night the party meet up in the center of town  for the meeting that the Elders have called for. When they arrive Hagi makes a grand speech and introduces the party as great adventures with great power. The Elder greet each of the party members and they make a little speech about the land and how things have come to be, then they explain the resistance is made of militia common folk. The Elders then publicly ask the party for their help. The party agrees to fight with the resistance. The Elders thank the party members and declare this the day the tide changes. A party ensues and they spend the night drinking and dancing around the fire to the rhythm of beating drums.

In the morning the party heads to meet with the Elders. They begin to discuss the terms of there help. "We are prepared to make each of you a Captain in our Resistance. You will each receive Captain's pay as long as you are a part of the resistance. And of course you will have the authority that comes with such a position. The Leader of the Resistance is your friend Hagi, He has managed to gather the people and inspire them like no other could. And his vast wealth and connections have kept us going this far. But there is only so much untrained farmers can do. Do you accept?" The party accepts.

"Well in that case we would like to introduce you to a man that has been crucial in our success. Without him I doubt we would ever have gotten past the 8th ring barrier. They say he appeared out of nowhere 3 months before the 9th barrier ring fell, he predicted that the 9th barrier ring would fall. He spoke of a small group on a pilgrimage to the Millennium Tree, he claimed they would destroy the barriers along their way and that nothing would stop them. But no other barriers fell after the 9th. So he lead the first assault through the 8th barrier and then we fought one by one all the way to the 5th ring. For what he can do is truly amazing... He can negate magic. May I introduce General M.C. Hammer."

M.C. Hammer walks into the room, immediately Takeo, Trevor and M.C. Hammer greet each other. The Elders are surprised to find out that they were the people that M.C. Hammer spoke of. The Elders are truly impressed now and begin to believe that perhaps with such praise from both Hagi and M.C. Hammer maybe the party is strong enough to defeat the rising evil. As M.C. Hammer gets closer Kreesh reverts to his natural dolphin form, the magic pearls don't work. M.C. Hammer questions Kreesh, they talk of Keesh's mission and magic creatures. M.C. Hammer begins talking about some of the things he has seen in his travels around the world and through Japan. He talks of the horrors that magic creatures often endure, and that he has seen others like Kreesh beaten and enslaved. The entire time M.C. Hammer is talking to Kreesh he refers to the victims of what he's seen as magic bitches.

Although he is informing them of the slaves and offering to lead a rescue party when they have more time, his extremely vulgar language is misinterpreted by Runick. Thinking that magic creatures are being insulted and tortured for fun, Runick makes a stand and begins to argue with M.C. Hammer. Despite the efforts of the everyone to clam the two down Runick draws his bow on M.C. Hammer and attempts to shoot an arrow over his head to intimidate him. With the magic energy in the room being disrupted Runick, being a creature of magic, feels a little off.  He strikes M.C. Hammer directly in the shoulder with an arrow. In the blink of an eye M.C. Hammer quick draws his sawed off shotgun and fires it one handed (ability), blowing a hole right through Runick's armor. Before Runick could react a magic barrier surrounds each of them. The Elders scold Runick for taking action against a General of the Resistance. They remind both of them that they fight for the same thing and that although M.C. Hammer is vulgar he is a good man that fights for right. The two calm down and are released. Hagi and the Elders then lay out the 3 most important things needed for the success of the Resistance's revolution. Pick up, secure and bring back a shipment of tech gear and weapons from Kure in the Republic of Japan, Find and bring back a Master Techno Wizard from Takamatsu City on Shikoku Island, Find a Master Sorcerer from the 2nd Ring.

The party decide to begin with the tech shipment in Kure. Now that the Magic barriers are from the 5th-8th ring have been dropped by the Resistance they are free to travel out of the New Empire. Along the way the party pass though Ulo Town, Frank stops to check on his CS issued APC and sends in his 1st report in months. Frank reports that he has found Trevor the Psi-Tech, that he has run into trouble with demons here in Japan, that he is traveling with others and helping Trevor do something and headed back, and offers to establish an outpost here in Japan for the CS. Having retrieved his vehicle Frank is able to drive the party much faster than they could hike. They drive to Kure and meet with their contact.They pick up a train of truck trailers loaded with equipment and weapons. They begin driving back to the New Empire, just outside of Kure they are ambushed by a group with a couple of Big Bear robots and laser rifles. Trevor immediately uses his Psi-Tech abilities and takes control of one of the Big Bear robots and they easily defeat the merc bandits. Trevor opens the hatch on the Big Bear and Frank uses telekinesis to throw the men from the robot. On top of stealing a Big Bear robot Trevor scavenges one GPS system from the wrecked Big Bear robot and one GPS system from the vehicle the bandits had. The party continues on its way to the 5th ring town. A magic pigeon comes flying up to Takeo and disperses, they hear the voice of Shonen, "Takeo, Things here have taken a turn for the worse, things are not good. I do what I can but the evil here is too great. I fear we will not last much longer the demon activity here grows, they are up to something. We could use you guys, Please help brother."

They arrive back at the village and Takeo tells them of the message from Shonen. The Elders seem deeply concerned but they explain that they don't stand a chance if they move in right now. The Tech shipment was a huge step in the right direction, but it's not enough. Takeo wants to fight his way to Shonen now, the party talks him in to resting. Then into going on the quest to find the Techno Wizard Izen in Takamatsu City first, since that's what would help the Resistance.  Frank offers to drive the party across the sea to Shikoku Island, Takeo, Trevor and Keesh strongly discourages against that, having seen some of the horrors of the sea. Frank disregards them and does it anyway.

Along the way a leviathan pops up out of the water like a shark torpedoing a seal. Frank manages to barely miss being swallowed. The party unaware as to what happened complain about the turbulence. They continue to the last know address of Izen. When they arrive they go up the stairs and when they get to the door it is unlocked. They go in, they don't see anything, at first. When M.C. Hammer walks in two ninja-borgs and two cyber-samurai become visible, one in each corner. They fight, the two cyber-samurai are defeated. With his last action one of the drops a blinding flash grenade, and the two ninja-borgs escape though the window. The Trevor loots one vibro-sword, 1 bionic hand and two cred sticks with 13,000c and 6,000c. Frank loots 2 vibro-swords and Oliver loots 1 vibro sword.

Episode 18 "A Little More Time"

April 22, 102 P.A.

The party awakes from camping near the water to find that Kreesh is not there. Takeo begins to look for tracks, Runick looks around. Oliver sits by the shore and begins designing a schematic for a mirror that can cast blinding flash as a targeted attack against one opponent. As Oliver sits engaged in his work, tentacles come flailing out of the water and almost grab a hold of him. Oliver manages to scramble to his feet and move away from the water. He calls out to Runick and Takeo, who come over to look. Trevor had flown up and began to scout out ahead. As he was flying toward the woods, a magic net appears above him. Trevor hits his thrusters and speeds out of the way. He returns to the party and tells them he was almost captured by something near the woods. The party approaches cautiously, Out of the wood appear a troop of ten men in light body armor, one of the introduces himself, "I am Izo, Is one of you Trevor? We work for General Hagi. He has  sent us to escort Trevor and the suit back to him."  Trevor steps forward and asks them if they attacked him. Izo says, "We apologize for that, One of my men was startled by you, we did not expect you to be using the armor. We thought perhaps someone may have stolen it. We were only told that you are of use to the revolution... And that you travel with Takeo, who Hagi also speaks highly of. But I see now... the rest of you... you must be the ones all rumors spreading across the land are about. The ones who defy the Hades demon hoards. Many speculated that Hagi was not to be trusted, but he has proven himself every time. Truly we stand a chance, if Hagi really know Heroes of your caliber. Come we will lead you to him but we must go quickly before demons find us."

The ten men quickly turn and start running though the woods. The party is quickly losing sight of them in the brush, but see them hop on to the backs of horses. Trevor takes off flying after them, the rest run up to see two extra horses. Frank radios Trevor, and tells him he can't ride a horse. Trevor turns back quickly and scoops up Frank. Runick jumps on one of the other horses and grabs Oliver pulling him up on the back of the horse. Takeo jumps on the other horse, but hears someone calling out his name. Takeo looks back and sees Kreesh coming ashore from his night resting in the lake, he quickly rides back to pick up Kreesh. The party members follow one another, Takeo and Kreesh ride past Runick and Oliver. Struggling to keep up they make it to what appears to be an army camp, many more men in armor seem to be awaiting them. They are greeted by Izo once they finally catch up, "Welcome! I feared we may have lost some of you back there. Welcome! This is our forward operations base for the rebellion against the Emperor's Hades demon take over. You guys are more than welcome to eat the food tent is the large one over there. Food here is free, you guys can rest and relax for a bit. Trevor and Takeo you have been summoned by Hagi, you can go speak with him over in the center of camp."

Takeo goes to see Hagi, but Trevor goes with the rest of the party to the food tent. When Takeo gets to the center of camp he sees a couple small wooden buildings. He asks which one Hagi is in, and goes there. At the entrance two men ask Takeo to disarm before entering. Takeo goes up to the second floor and sees ten men sitting at a table with Hagi at one end. He is greeted by Hagi and asked where Trevor is, Hagi asks Takeo to go get Trevor. Takeo begins to speak out and ramble about his journey to get here. Hagi tells Takeo not to be to presumptuous, the they have other pressing matters to discuss and anything else could wait til Trevor was present. Takeo goes to the food tent to find Trevor.

On the way to the food tent, the party wandered into a scroll shop. Frank purchased 2 scrolls of Frost Blade and 2 scrolls of Mystic Alarm; Oliver purchased 8 scrolls of Frost Blade, 3 scrolls of Mystic Alarm, and 3 scrolls of Paralysis Lesser.

Runick had found his way into the weapons shop, of the local blacksmith. Runick asks about bows. The blacksmith tells him, "I don't make bows, but there are plenty of shops around that do." Runick asks about the finest bow maker. He is told, "Most are ok, the best one use to work for the Emperor, he's gone now. But there is this one old drunk people say he use to be a bow maker with the Demon Queller Society.. you know back when they were still around. He probably won't be any good though." Runick finds the old drunk in the bar, introduces himself and buys the drunk a drink. "Wha' did youuu sayz yous name was... Buttnick? OK Buttnick, I'll ssshows you bowss if you buy meees moe drinks." Runick agrees and purchases a few bottles and helps the drunk up and they walk over to his tent (right next to the bar). Inside the tent Runick sees a plethora of tools and couple bows and arrows on display.

Takeo finds Trevor, Oliver, Keesh and Frank in the food tent. They all eat then head to back to the small building whee Hagi was. Takeo and Trevor go in, again they are asked to disarm. Trevor does not want to give up the power armor, but finally agrees to leave it with the men at the door. They go upstairs Hagi greets them and gives Trevor payment for delivering the power armor, "Thank you, Trevor again you have been a great help to me once again. You see even though that suit isn't the most powerful it will act as a symbol for the rebellion. A suit ironically designed to look like that which it was made hunt, those of Ichito want the Shinto people here in the New Empire to fall to the demons. It would save them the trouble of the inevitable war between the them and the New Empire. But I will use this suit to lead the revolution to free the Shinto people and defeat the demon scum. I tried to convince Ichito to help, but they only turn their backs. If you choose to stay there will be plenty more wok for you here, we could use you."

As they speak a man come running in shouting, "They'e here! They're here already!" Hagi jumps up, "Go! Go! Quick! Get the shield up!" The men in the room scramble, Hagi tells Trevor and Takeo, "Help  us, please, this is what we were discussing before. I just thought we'd have more time. A hoad of demons has been marching this way for some time, how they got here so fast? I don't know. But we have a plan. We just need time... a small group of mages and mystics are headed to each of the four corners, North, South East, West. They can cast a spell that will put a magic barrier around the camp. We just need you and your team to buy us some time. Please help us, otherwise many innocents will die."

Takeo and Trevor run back to the party. Hearing the commotion outside Runick comes out of the drunk bow makers tent and sees the party and calls them over. Takeo tells everyone what that the camp is under attack and they have to buy the mages as much time as possible. Runick and Takeo both steal a Master Craft (+2stk) Bow from the drunks tent (alignment starting to drop).

Frank reaches out and snatches a hair off of Oliver's head. Oliver rubs his head and asks what that was all about. Frank says he can track people if he has some of their hair, just in case they get separated. They est of the party willing give up hair samples. And the they run off in different directions. Trevor and Kreesh do some crowd control and help get innocent people to safety. Oliver goes East, Frank to the West, Takeo to the North, Runick to the South. They all run up on a battle scene of various warriors fighting off demons. Many off the demons seem to be making it through the human defenses. The Heroes stand and fight the hoards, doing hat ever they can against the large numbers of demons approaching. Takeo cutting down alu demon after alu demon, seems to have little effect on the 22 approaching alu demons. Frank blasting away with his rifle, appears to be but a nuisance to the 22 ghouls approaching later resorting to his super telekinesis. Demons attack the mages casting in both the West and the North

Oliver cast Energy Field around the mages protecting them from the 16 alu demons that made their way past the human warriors. Runick casts Ice Wall multiple times crushing 29 ghouls as they approached on the mages. After 30 seconds, a bright light shoots up into the sky from the South and East. Oliver and Runick both over hear the mages talking about the spell didn't work, someone must have fallen to the demons before the spell was cast. The mages call for a retreat. Everyone starts running in toward town. In the commotion, Izo finds the party members and asks them to escort and protect the caravan heading out to South. All the people are being moved to a safe place. The party head out with the caravan. Runick goes back to get the old drunk bow maker and pack up the old man's stuff and put him on a wagon out.
