Upon entering the market Takeo immediately goes to the scroll shop and inquires about the scrolls, but can not afford any. Takeo, Runick, and Trevor return to the wagon. They tell Oliver and Frank that the town was very small and it seemed that they had some kind of agreement with the demons to live in peace. The party decides to camp out in the woods where the wagon is hidden, rather than return to the inn. Runick and Takeo use wilderness survival knowledge to build a shanty little camp. As they all rest and sit around talking, they hear the sound of wagons traveling in their direction. They go inspect the noise, they see two covered wagons. Each wagon is begin pulled by two horses and steered by a gallu bull demon. The party begins talking frantically among themselves, Runick Skyknight lies down in the bushes to prowl. After the party determines the wagons are simply traveling toward the town, not at them, they continue to talk among themselves. Right as the two wagons go rolling by the campsite the party finally comes to a consensus, they ambush the two wagons.
Frank Hamilton grabs one of the gallu bull demons with his super telekinesis and the horse keep running dragging the wagon away. Takeo Takahido casts a magic net on the other wagon's bull demon driver and Trevor Burnside flies in his power armor straight though the canvas top of the wagon.The power armor easily rips the entire top off in one swift swoop reveling 9 ghouls and 1 magot demon.

The heroes immediately go on the offensive and begin bombarding the wagon with rifle fire and magic fie. The gallu bull demon cast fear attempting to frighten the heroes, causing the horses to run away pulling the flaming wagon, with the demons inside, away. Frank takes the bull demon and repeatedly smashed his head into the ground killing it. Then he begins feeding of the PPE of the dead creature. The bull demon caught by magic net speaks, "Damn, You mortals. You think you've won. The Shoguns all know of you, we we're out her looking for you. On our way to torture some town folk for information about you. You caught us by surprise, it won't happen again. Relish in your victory for when we find you we will feast on your souls." The gallu bull demon mutters an incantation under his breath and teleports away. Trevor decides to fly off after one of the wagons to retrieve a horse. Meanwhile, Takeo begins stripping the demon bull, all he finds is the armor and the sword the demon was using.
By the time Trevor catches up to the wagon that was on fire, one of the horses has broken free and the wagon had come to a stop. Trevor flies over and seed the other horse still attached to the wagon beginning to catch fire. Trevor puts the fire out, the horse appears to be slightly burned, Trevor feels perhaps the wilderness people in the party might be able to make the horse fully healthy. Trevor picks up the injured hose and flies it back to the party. Takeo inspects the horse and determines it is healthy enough to pull the wagon, Trevor immediately flies off for the second horse. Not having a harness, Takeo and Runick tie the horse up using some military grade paracord rope that Frank had in his bag. Trevor manages to catch up to the horse still running, he tries to fly down and scoop up the horse. The horse is startled and doesn't go as easily as the injured horse. Trevor skids his power armor along the ground causing light damage. Trevor decides it is probably not possible to fly this hose back, he grabs a hold of what is left of the reigns and starts walking back toward the party.

The party is left recovering from the paralysis spell, as they watch the lawmen ride away with Trevor and Frank. Oliver and Takeo decide to go the jail in town, they see a lawman sitting outside. Takeo inquires as to the fate of their friends. "Your pals will have their day in court in one week... Me? I'm Po. Visiting hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 1-3, come back then to see you friends" Takeo asks if his friends can seek council and is given an address to public defender's offices.
Meanwhile Runick stays with the wagon, to watch all of the stuff. He begins whittling boards and pins out of some wood found near by and fits the wagon with a hidden compartment under the wagon.
In jail Trevor and Frank talk about a jail break... until the guard tells them he can hear them. After a couple hours the two of the are presented with confessions to sign. The lawmen explain to Trevor, "Normally possession of class 5 technology is punishable by death this close to the capital... but if you sign this confession we will let you off with some time served. It won't be a big deal, we confiscated the technology, you're obviously new to the area. The judge will go easy if you cooperate... And You! Your luck the commander doesn't want any unnecessary human bloodshed. I would slay you where you stand for attacking the commander. But the commander says we must uphold the law at all times. So, I guess you'll get your day in court too. Which won't go well for attacking our head lawman. But you get a deal too, if you sign this confession. You will both be released after 4 months in jail, with good behavior." Trevor and Frank sign the confessions.
Oliver and Takeo go find the public defender's office, they enter a building and read a sign that directs them upstairs. They see an long hall way littered with office doors on each side. They approach the first office, a very pretty lady sits at a desk. "OMG! are you hear because you need a lawyer? OK this is great I'll help you two. Nobody ever asks for my help. Like, I don't know why. But, Like, Anyway come in and have a seat." Takeo makes a lewd comment and sexual advance toward the lawyer lady. "Umm.. Gross. I think you should seek other legal help... because I will call security." Oliver asks her who the best lawyer here is. She says, "Office at the end off the hall way." and closes her door. Oliver urges Takeo to move on down the hall way. Oliver and Takeo talk with the lawyer and he tells them its outrageous that they can't see their friends. They go down to the jail and the lawyer gets them in. When they are all talking, Trevor mentions Urihu's name and the Lawyer immediately shushes Tevor. He tells him not to ever mention that name to anyone again and abruptly pulls Oliver and Takeo out of the jail. They talk outside, "You work with the wanted fugitive Urihu? What is you relations with him. Your friends need to be careful with who they say that name to. Many have been tortured and killed seeking information about that man." Takeo and Oliver tell the lawyer of their journey and their work with Chaz/Urihu. The lawyer tells them that there are a few friends that they should meet and he leads them into an alleyway. The lawyer the opens a secret door leading to an underground lair. Inside Takeo and Oliver see five men wielding swords.
They sheath the swords when the lawyer begins to make introductions. They lawyer tells them that they know Urihu and their friends are in jail. One of the men speaks, "I am Yamamato. We are the samurai of this land the 2nd Ring. Or we use to be... We have gone into hiding when the new shoguns were put into power... We heard some of the samurai of the lands further out from Kyoto, where they aren't as powerful, had fallen to mind control and do the shoguns bidding. Most of the samurai this closed to the capital city have been able to resist the initial attack ment to control us. But then when the demons came, demons we'd never encountered before, we were unprepared. Word has spread that thousands died that day and dozens of samurai fell that day. We all know the Emperor has been replaced by a demon. Only the people of the lands further out still believe he has returned to us and the people of these lands closer in are all too afraid. They live according to the rules and look the other way when people are taken. As long as the constant attacks on the cities would stop. They say the shoguns and emperor have made a deal with the demons, but truth is they are all demons. It's some sort of ploy to find the millennium tree, but we don't know why. We don't know the end game... We know of a way that you can pass though the 2nd Ring Magic Barier, so you can continue your journey to aid Urihu... And by the way word has spread of you. Tales of the heroes who safeguarded the passage of the chosen one, and dared to enter the royal palace and mock the demons by displaying their heads on your wagons are told around the land. You're friends will not be safe in the jail once they figure out who they have. The demons will come and demand the lawmen turn them over... Meet me at the bar cross the street at midnight, we'll get your friends out."
Takeo and Oliver go back to meet up with Runick. Runick shows of his modification to the wagon and they decide to hide all of the tech weapons in the compartment. Oliver places all of his TW weapons in the compartment, along with the phase world rifles. Body armors do not fit so they stay in the back of the wagon. They go to meet Yamamato at the bar at midnight, the tie the horse off in front of the bar. Yamamato tells them the plan. "Good you brought your friend, we are going to need all three of you for this. One of you will stay here with Bud and create a distraction. One of you needs to go retrieve your power armor, with Sai here. One of you will need to go meet the extraction team in the alley behind the jail. To get your friends out of jail will cause the lawmen to hunt you, so you need to leave immediately. Try to do exactly what the extraction team tells you and we will get you out of the town and on you way to the 2nd Barrier passage. Now who is doing what?.. We will coordinate to move in 15 min, 12:30pm exactly. "
Takeo and Bud sit around in the bar, until 12:30pm then Bud has to try to pick a fight because Takeo fails to make a distraction... The lawmen immediately leave the bar when alerted to something else.
Oliver leaves with Sai and they go to a warehouse about a mile from the jail. The warehouse is large and looks old. Sai warns Oliver that the building has security and is booby trapped with magic. They need to get the armo then meet at the rendezvous point. At 12:30pm, Oliver and Sai sneak in and make there way though the warehouse. Inside Oliver sees lots of confiscated technology, most of it class 1 and class 2 items like flashlights and audio devices. They locate a room with Class 5 tech, and they find the Super Tengue Power Armor that was confiscated. Oliver attempts to walk up and take the power armor. A magic trap goes off and he is caught by one leg, with one of many spikes that was released, and the mystic alarm starts going off, fail. Sai tells Oliver to get in the suit and go. Getting the armor is the priority. Oliver removes the spike and gets in the power armor and flies straight though the roof. As Oliver flies off he can see lawmen running into the room and the flashes of magic being cast as he loses sight of them.
Runick goes to the alley behind the jail, where he meets the three guys who tell him that at exactly 12:30pm they are going to open a magic portal to the jail cell and Runick is to guide them along a pathway. The extraction team leader draws a map in the dirt. He reminds Runick do not deviate from the path we need to get you out of town and to safety as fast as possible and this is the only way we can guarantee your safety, is if you follow the path.

At 12:30pm,Trevor and Frank see a magic portal appear on the wall of their jail cell. On the other side they see Runick and 3 men. Frank cheers out loud when he realizes its a prison break, fail, an alarm immediately starts going off. The extraction team, urges them to get out fast since they couldn't keep the prison break quite. "Run!" the extraction team screams as the charge the lawmen. Runick, Trevor, and Frank start running down the path they we're given. Runcik then stops and thinks about the wagon, he leads the other two off the given path. They are immediately spotted and must run away. After losing the lawmen and getting back on path, Runick tells the other two to keep going down the path that he will go back for the wagon. Trevor and Frank meet up with Oliver, who came flying in on the power armor, and Takeo, who rode up on horseback, at the base of the mountain next to the town. They inquire about Runick but are told there is no time to wait. One of the samurai cast a spell and begins to levitate all of the party members on a piece of earth up the side of the mountain.
Runick runs back into the town and is seen immediately. He runs and tries to avoid the lawmen and prowl. He can not manage to get near the wagon without being seen. Runick decides to set a random building on fire. People start screaming and running out of the burning building. In the commotion he attempts to get to the wagon but fails and is seen and chased again. One of the extraction team guys finds him and yells, "What are you doing here? They will kill you? Are you stupid? You have to go now!" Runick tells him that he needs the wagon. The samurai tells him, "We will see what they can do about getting the wagon. But if you don't leave now. I can't help you anymore, we've already lost too many men because you're a bunch of armatures." Runick agrees to go. The samurai cast a mystic portal and send Runick to the levitating piece of earth.
The party is taken half way up the mountain to a clearing where two of the samurai instruct them to make camp. "You'll be safe here." He says as he cast a spell causing the clouds to form a wall around their campsite blocking them and the camp fire from view. In the morning the two samurai wish them luck and went back down the mountain. The party continued upward. They see a demon locust perched on the side of the mountain. They continue to walk, it shifts. Runick continues to walk and the demon locust doesn't move. Runick walks right past the locust and continues past looking for a place to rest while he waits for his friends to pass the locust, he doesn't find anywhere comfortable. They attempt to attack the demon locust and it dodges so quickly they can barely see. It calmly perches itself in the same spot and threatens the party. They turn and hike back down the hill some ways.
