Episode 15 "Up a Creek..."

After defeating the Balrog the party decides to collect the head, in hopes of trading it in for the bounty later. Frank Hamilton starving and seriously malnourished, from his stay at the Millennium Tree, immediately feeds off the PPE from the fresh kill. He then opens the large cellar like doors leading down into a large dark tunnel. Frank activates his night vision to see into the tunnel. Takeo casts a globe of daylight, blinding Frank momentarily. They enter the tunnel, it leads directly under the first ring magic barrier (life drain). The party rides the wagon into the tunnel, when they make it about half way through they hear they sounds of digging and continue through the tunnel at their same pace. Moments later they see 16 ghouls digging their way into the tunnel in front and behind them. The party stops and prepares to fight (buffing) allowing the ghouls to advance on them. Despite the fact the ghouls were of low level, the party finds the ghouls more difficult to handle than expected, often failing to strike the agile ghouls. After the battle with the ghouls Runick decides to collect the heads of the ghouls. The party then decides to hang the heads around the wagon on display and they continue though the tunnel. At the other end is another large barn size cellar door, Frank walks right up to the door and opens it. Frank sees a Gallu Bull Demon, the demon turns to look at the tunnel.

The Gallu sees Frank standing at the opening of the tunnel and the rest of the party back by a wagon covered in demon heads. Frank preemptively acts, immediately taking control of the gallu, with super telekinesis, lifting him off the ground. Armed only with a sword, the gallu begins casting every simple spell it knows. Meanwhile, Frank occasionally slams the gallu into the ground and the rest of the party attacks the gallu as it is helpless. The demon manages to phobia curse and luck curse Frank before casting a cloud of smoke breaking Franks line of sight and freeing the gallu of Frank's telekinetic grasp. Runick gets the help of a lesser earth elemental and the gallu demon decides it's time to flee. Successfully casting a teleport spell he leaves the with a threat, "Wait til your shogun hears of this, you will pay for this disgrace. I will see you bow to our power, mortals. For your power is weak compared to that of the flames of Hades. Thus, have seen the people." Then the gallu demon is gone.

They all get on to the wagon and continue south, the party makes it to the edge of the woods. Ahead of them the terrain is all plains and open fields, they continue. They finally arrive at the 2nd ring magic barrier, it is a Wall of Agony. The party sees a bird attempt to fly through the shimmering blue barrier, it drops to the ground in agony where it stays til it dies. Runick throws a rock through the barrier, it lands on the ground on the other side. He picks up a flower and throws it, it hits the barrier falls to the ground and quickly withers. Runick puts a flower in his canteen and throws it it hits the barrier and falls to the ground. He retrieves his canteen and looks inside, to find a withered flower. Runick discerns the is no way to go through unharmed, only in animate objects can pass. The party travels east along the barrier for a long time until the reach a large pack of 32 ghouls in front of a large river. The party decides to avoid them and back tracks their steps all the way back to the edge of the woods. They decide it is the best spot to eat and rest. In the morning the party decides to travel east from where they camped. They reach a river, the same one, and begin to follow it down southeast. Eventually they see the pack of ghouls from the day before, again they choose to attempt to avoid them. Takeo gets in the river and cast breath without air, he will swim to the barrier to see if there is a way through. The others decide it is best if they fly the wagon over the river, Trevor takes out the power armor and flies the wagon with the party over. This draws the attention of the ghouls and they begin advancing on the party the horses left behind. Trevor flies back to grab a horse and scares it, he attempts to grab the other horse but fails. The horses are more afraid of the large super tengu power armor than they are of the humanoid ghouls. Thus, they run toward the ghouls and are devoured. Trevor flies back to the others, they talk and wonder what is taking Takeo so long.

Meanwhile, Takeo had swam along the shoreline and had sensed an evil presence in the water, he sees an aquatics demon from hades. Takeo avoids him and continues, he sees one other aquatics demon blocking his passage to the barrier. Takeo engages in battle with the creature and easily defeats it, with its last action the aquatic demon calls for help. Takeo continues toward the barrier an inspects it. The water seems to flow through but when a fish tried to swim though it hit the barrier and floated away with the current. Takeo had his answer no way through down there, he turns around to see two aquatics demons swimming at him. The aquatics are too fast and they entangle Takeo up and drag him to the bottom of the river. Takeo lays there motionless, and fears his breath with out air spell will run out.

Trevor, Oliver and Runick decide that they will enter the river to look for Takeo. Trevor's sensors start going off and he warns Oliver and Runick of a group of aquatics swimming toward them in the direction of the magic barrier. Trevor tells them  that they are moving very fast and he activates his flies through the water at top speed. Oliver and Runick figure they probably swim to slow to avoid the aquatics demons and decide to get out of the water. Trevor flies up fast and sees Takeo on the bottom entangled by two aquatics demons, He swoops down picks them all up and flies straight out of the water and lands on the shoreline next to the rest of the party. They cut the aquatics demons off of Takeo with ease, pick him up, and they get on the wagon and they move because the ghouls are now making their way across the river. Trevor now is pulling the wagon like a giant rickshaw, in the power armor. They continue along the magic barrier, being a round barrier after awhile the party is traveling north. they cross  the river two more times. and the reach the woods again. They continue through the woods all the way until they reach the base of a mountain. Trevor stops and flies up the mountain to scout ahead. He flies up and sees a demon locust, he flies away from the mountain to look around. Trevor sees a small village not far off around the base of the mountain and a large building over by the ley line, the Shogun's Palace. They travel around the base of the mountain and stop in the woods outside the village. Trevor Leaves his power armor in the wagon with Oliver and Frank, as He, Takeo and Runick enter the village. The three of them go to the local inn. They ring the bell at the counter a man comes in, "Oh I am so sorry! We don't get many visitors here, well not since the 9 rings went up. You must be men of the shogun's. Of course your stay is free please treat this place as your own. Let me get you a room." Takeo interrupts the inn keeper and tells him there is a misunderstanding, "we" are not with the shogun we fight against him and the demons. The in keeper's face changes, " Oh... well you can still stay if you want but we don't want any trouble here. The shogun has made a deal with the demons to keep them from attacking us. They leave us alone as long as we live by their rules. Uh... I don't really want to talk to you guys anymore." and the in keeper turns and walks ways leaving the key to the room on the counter. The three of them leave the key and go to the market.  Back at the wagon Oliver and Frank have started talking and Oliver tell Frank that the millennium tree leaves could cure him of almost anything. Frank offers to buy a leaf, Oliver tells him the are worth hundreds of thousands but sells it to Frank in good faith for a mere 250 gold. Frank rests under the leaf blanket, as it cures him of his curses the leaf is consumed.

Episode 14 "The Millennium Tree"

The Pacos Empire Logistics and Movement Infinity Company has TW wizards of their own but they are often pre-occupied and need to hire outside help. They often hire new TW wizards to do some of the smaller maintenance and repairs needed. They give the temps little to no information about the clients that they are working for and often don't even tell them where they are being sent to work. The company figures this information is irrelevant since the temp repair man is to fix the stargate and return straight back, never leaving the stargate room. Oliver McPherson has recently been hired for one of these temp jobs. Earlier today Oliver drove his vehicle to the PELMIC headquarters in the Pecos Empire (America). He checked in and was walked through a large building and taken into a room with six stargates in it. Two scientist worked the controls, the man who lead him in tell him, "This is the one, you have to fix the other stargate in the room that this one will take you to. Here is our radio frequency. As soon as you are done radio us and someone will active this stargate and bring you back home. You will receive your pay when the job is completed." Oliver takes the radio frequency and walks through the stargate that the man had pointed to.

Oliver Mcpherson emerges on the other end and find himself in an empty room almost identical to the one he was just in. Except in this room there is only one other stargate at the other end of the room. Oliver walks over and gets to work. He fixes the problem with the stargate no problem (high roll). As he is working the stargate he came through activates. Oliver isn't expecting anyone else, and knows protocol doesn't include random visitors. He actives his shadow cloak and sits still. Out of the stargate comes a wagon with a strange assortment of individuals, Oliver remains still. Takeo and Runick both sense the magic being used in the room and they ride the wagon right up to the edge of the darkness. They then introduce themselves to the darkness and Oliver removes his cloak of darkness. The party begins to tell Oliver that they are in the 1st Ring of the New Empire, that its has been a difficult journey, and they wish him no harm. While they are talking Frank gets the scientist and asks him to tell them where the other stargate goes. The scientist sends a message to his boss Jeff back at PELMIC headquarters and responds, "Hades." Oliver walks over and offers to help, he notices the scientist sent a message. The party threatens the scientist and he begs for his life. He tells them all he wants to do is return home, he promises he won't return. He says he will even quit his job if they will just let him go. The party agrees to let him go, he turns on the stargate back and runs through it. Oliver McPherson closes the stargate behind him and opens the large blast doors. Thee party gets in the wagon and ask if Oliver will stay or join them. Oliver figures they are going to know he helped them so he might as well go with.

They ride the wagon through the pathway of cement hallways. Every time they arrive at an intersection they hear marching coming from all directions except one. They always turn down the one hallway that doesn't have the marching sound coming from it. Unbeknownst to the party they are being led out and followed. They finally reach the end of the tunnel hallway and another set of blast doors on a ramp leading up. Oliver McPherson has to machine ghost to go into the computer and battle the security program. After a short melee battle with the security defense system Oliver is able to access the security code and open the blast doors. When the wagon comes out they see a beautiful garden and cherry blossom orchard. They ride away and look back, they see the palace of the emperor. They travel through royal garden and reach a large stone wall. Oliver borrows Trevor's power armor to fly the wagon and the horses over the wall and they continue straight for the Millennium Tree. Frank Hamilton has a suspicion that they escaped from the palace way too easily (streetwise). He asks to be dropped off at the next intersection. Frank gets out and waits after a short time he sees an orb of surveillance following them. He hurries to catch up with the wagon and tells the party that they are being followed. Not wanting to lead the Emperor to the tree they change course and head to the outskirts of town. Just outside of town they stop the wagon and decide to send in scouts. They leave Trevor with the wagon, Ryoko and Shonen, becuase he has passed out from a combination of passing through so many stargates and being nueral striked. Frank leaves him a message saying. "Trevor we had to finish the Takeo and Shonen's quest since we are so close. Had to leave you behind, you are locked in your suit sit tight if you can we will be back as soon as possible. you can radio us at frequency 1200." Runick stays behind and wanders through the nearby farms. He comes out of the corn field and is spotted immediately by a farmer doing his laundry. The farmer offers to help Runick because he looks lost, and is told to be careful the woods are filled with demons unlike those we are use to here in Japan. Runick returns to the wagon to share the information with the party. Trevor wakes up and gets his message and radios Frank. The rest of the party returns to the wagon. Takeo successfully camouflages the wagon and the entire party travels back into town on foot to avoid the surveillance orb. They notice that the town has surveillance orbs patrolling the streets. The towns people seem to react as if they are use to the orbs in town. They travel to the market and purchase more rations and traditional robes to blend in. They travel to the tree, they arrive at a massive empty fenced off lot in the center of town. Ryoko points at the empty lot and says there it is.

Runick, having to avoid patrols back home, advises that they wait a minimum of three days to properly learn the patrol patterns of the surveillance. Especially since they are trying to sneak into a place that none of them can see. Runick spends three days watching the orbs and determines when they have the best opportunity to do it. Ryoko leads them in single file, Oliver stumbles on his way in but is helped through. Once inside two large monks wielding halberds stop them. Ryoko goes up to talk to them, they lower their weapons. Ryoko tells them, "Ok, You are free to walk around Shonen and I must go tend to some business. We all thank you very much for escorting the chosen one here. There will be a ceremony later tonight, we would like you to attend if you wish. Just make sure you speak with the high priest before you leave." The party walks around and talks to a couple random people. They then go to talk the high priest, in the high priest quarters they see a tengu talking to the high priest. The tengu leaves and the party comes in.

The high priest tells them, "Thank you all for escorting the chosen one here to the Millennium Tree Monastery. We the the monks and priests have combined all of our strength to cast the spell Mist of Legend. This spell was our last line of defense once that demon from another dimension impersonated the emperor. This spell is all we could do, it makes the tree invisible to even the most powerful of mages and clouds the minds of all the citizens in the New Empire. We have been waiting for Ryoko the Legendary Hero of Kyoto to train the chosen one and prepare him for his destiny. Now with you have delivered to us our salvation. The millennium tree itself wishes to thank you, for it gives what it wants to whom it deems worthy. For the role you each played in the safe passage of the chosen one the tree has a gifted each of you a reward. For you Oliver McPherson the tree gives this bark shield and 2 healing leaf blankets. For you Runick Skyknight the tree has sensed you desires and has presented you with a branch so you may whittle what you heart tells you to, be careful the tree does not often give such freedom with its gifts. For you Trevor Burnside the tree wants you to have something to protect yourself when technology can not, here is this bark body armor. For Frank Hamilton the tree has sensed a darkness in you but also a great goodness and the tree believes you can control your darkness, thus you are given this rare corrupt mantel of power that we have kept locked away so it would not end up in the hands of evil doers again. And at last for you Takeo Takahido the tree wishes to express its regret for it can not give you what you desire. Unfortunately all I have for you is information, your birth right lies with the Demon Queller Society. Protect your sword and your father's sword for they are far more important to you than you know, they are your birth right. You can find what you are looking for in Hiroshima that's where it is said the Demon Queller Society had a stronghold long ago. That is all I have for you... oh that and this wooden coin made from the tree. Show this coin to anyone familiar with the demon quellers and they will help you in your quest for your birth right. Also if you are willing to stay with us and train we believe we can train you in one of our signature martial arts abilities known as Shunpo. This is the first level of our signature Kuki-o-ido (move air) abilities. I believe those of you with martial arts backgrounds should be able to learn this ability here at the tree with the monks in three months. Those who choose to study in their spare time may do so with the priest in our library of Kuki-o-ido (move air) magic, you may even learn a spell.  It is your choice but please at least stay for the ceremony tonight and you may leave in the morning, during your stay however long you are welcome to your own rooms here. We hope you choose to stay and help defeat the demons of Hades that invade our empire. Thank you once again, now go relax, I have much to tend to before the ceremony."

They go to their rooms and discuss staying for the three months, they agree. That evening they attend the ceremony, they have reserved seating up front. The ceremony begins and the High Priest comes out and says a few words, "We have all gathered here today to witness the transformation of the chosen one as he begins his journey to becoming the Immortal Guardian Monk. The four immortals once protected this land during the time of the rifts, but when the land had reach a balance between good and evil the immortals left. A prophecy foretold that when evil tips the scales in Japan once again the immortals would return. We know of one! Shonen Kiske! The Immortal of Air! We have made it the mission of this monastery to keep the secrets of Kuki-o-ido, and now we begin to fulfill that mission with this first step. The Hero of Kyoto, the tengue warrior, the one who stood side by side with the first immortals, Ryoko Miagi has done well in training the Shonen. Now Ryoko Miagi will say a few words in his native tounge."  The tengue that the party saw in the office earlier steps out, "I am Ryoko Miagi, years ago I stood alongside man's greatest heroes and fought against your extinction. When the immortals left the prophecy was foretold, I and three others sought out on a quest to find the chosen ones and train them. We swore to get them to their respective keepers of the elemental knowledge at any cost.  We can all hope that the others have succeeded as well. A monk is bound to his staff spiritually, and now the chosen one will be bound to his staff physically, becoming one with a part of the Millennium Tree. Shonen will have a long road ahead of him if he is to succeed in joining the other three elemental immortals and vanquishing evil. Although his training has been vigorous he has much to learn, I wish him well as I can no longer keep over him. I grow weary and must return to the mountain from which I came. I can only hope that someone will stand alongside the immortals, as I did. Even they need traveling companions to keep them on the path of righteousness and remind them of what they fight for. Now let us begin the ritual." Shonen walks up in hooded robes, he offers up his staff. Ryoko takes the staff and lays it on the alter. The High Priest, Ryoko, and 10 other monks and priest surround the alter. They begin chanting, after a short time a bright light appears from above in the millennium tree top and shoots straight into the staff. The staff is illuminated for a moment then the light dissipates. Shonen drops to his knees when the light dissipates, he appears weakened. Ryoko takes the staff back over to Shonen and holds it out in front of him. Shonen slowly reaches out for it, almost as if he is in too much pain to move. When he finally grasps the staff a wind blast of incredible power expels out in every direction. Everyone shields their eyes, and the majority of the people (including some of the party) are knocked down. When Takeo looks upon his brother again, Shonen is nonchalantly holding his staff at ease, floating three feet above the ground with his hood and cloak flapping. He looks healthy and powerful, and is emitting a strong breeze. The crowd cheers!!!

After the ceremony Shonen meets up with the party. They decide to stay and train with Shonen for three months. The monks offer to teach anyone the knows any form of martial arts the technique Shunpo. The best trainer know as Sutikku explains to them,  "Shunpo, or flash step, is an ability that manipulates the air and creates an air pocket under the feet allowing you to achieve short bursts for speed during battle. This is a very useful ability when in defense. I am sorry but I can only teach this technique to Shonen, Takeo, Trevor, and Frank. You two (Oliver and Runick) may study with other monk instructors and learn the basics of martial arts. If you ever manage to learn the first technique of Kuki-o-ido, I might be able to learn Shunkan-ido, or instant transmission. An ability that allows to move so fast, you essentially teleport to any location within eyesight. Like thus..." Sutikku uses shunkan-ido and appears behind the party. "...But lets begin with the Shunpo." They train and learn shunpo or martial arts, Shonen is the only one that learns shunkan-ido. After their lessons an old priest approaches them and offers to teach the magic users; Oliver, Runick, and Takeo. They accept the offer and spend their time learning the spell Frequency Jam. Trevor the Psi-Tech is fascinated by magic and spends all his free time studying in the library and gains some magic lore, he even convinces the priest to attempt and teach him a basic spell. They teach him Breath Without Air. After the three months are up the party thanks the monks and decide to continue on their journey. The monks tell the party of a tunnel that is guarded by a demon and it is rumored that it will travel directly under the 1st ring barrier.  The party sneaks back out of the tree and they go retrieve the wagon that is still hidden. They travel in the direction of the tunnel and when they arrive they encounter a balrog. The party fights the balrog with the help of Shonen and defeats it. 

Episode 13 "Through the Wormhole"

Takeo, Shonen and Ryoko have traveled toward the 8th barrier ring. When they arrive Takeo's lore magic makes him aware that it is a deflect magic barrier. Unable to breach the barrier the three of them travel north along the barrier. The three of them travel on the wagon very slowly as the cross the mountain range along the 8th barrier ring of the New Empire. Eventually they come across a very small village built into the side of the mountain, called Tikibet. The three travelers are offered refuge and given food and shelter. While there Takeo inquires about the 8th ring. He is told,  "There is a cave at the base of this particular mountain. It is said that it passes through the mountain and under the barrier... but it is said that a very powerful and very large Oni Clan lives there.It is a very treacherous passage way that none has returned from." Takeo, Shonen, and Ryoko make camp for another day, they receive a magic pigeon that flies right up to them. It explodes in a blue mist and they hear Trevor's voice, "We recovered the power armor and are looking to possibly meet up with you. We are headed to the 5th ring and could use your help." Ryoko gives Takeo a scroll of magic pigeon to respond.

Trevor, Runick, and Frank have returned to Ulo Town and have just sent a message to Takeo. Not long after a magic pigeon comes flying right up to them, pops, and they hear Takeo's voice, "Meet us in Tikibet, it is a mountain village . Travel east from the Shogun's palace then north along the barrier until you reach the village. There is a cave passage we can us to pass to the next ring." The three men store their tech at the hotel garage and set out on foot. It takes them a few days, along the way Runick whittles himself a bow and some arrows. The party reunites, and they discuss how to proceed to the inner rings. Trevor remindes the party of the stargate they had seen earlier, he urges them to go back and inspect it further.  They decide to head back to Ulo Town. They ride the wagon on the way back and are ambushed along the way. Takeo barely stops the wagon before they fall into a ditch trap. A band of 12 thieves jump out with swords, axes and old rifles. A short fire fight ensues, the party quickly kills most of the thieves. Takeo scares away the final man in attempt to spare his life and two of them are left incapacitated but alive. Frank Hamilton walks over to one of the dying men and begins to finish him off feeding on his PPE as he slowly drains the last little bit of life out of the thief. Takeo casts words of truth on the other survivor and questions him. He finds out they are a band of thieves known as the Bloody Brothers and that Hirschel is the leader. Takeo leaves the guy there on the floor. The man askes to be killed, Runick grants his request. They make it back to Ulo Town.

The party rests a couple of days and decides to return to the shogun palace. Before they leave they buy rations at the market and head out. They arrive at the 9th ring shogun's palace, it appears undisturbed. They go in and on their way up to the third floor they stop on the second floor. They see all the magic creatures in the cages starving. The party feeds the animals but does not free them because they may be dangerous. They go to the third floor, its clear. Trevor goes down and uses the power armor to carry the wagon up through the massive palace stairways. Takeo and Runick use horsemanship to get the horses up the stairs. Once they are upstairs Trevor turns on the stargate and they ride the wagon through, they emerge on the other side. They see a large room with a large control panel and two scientist at the controls. They also see that 5 other stargates in this room just like the one they came through. Trevor immediately throws up a TK Force Field trapping the two scientist in a bubble. Trevor goes over to the controls and uses them to determine where the rest of these stargates go(makes his skill role). Trevor starts shouting out locations; New Empire 9th Shoguns Palace, Chi-Town burb outpost, Takamatsu City Sony Tower, Takamatsu City Mitsubishi Tower, New Empire Kyoto City, Phase World supply depot. "Kyoto City, that's where we are headed." ahouts out Shonen.  The party decides to question the two scientist. One scientist seems to cooperate and begins to talk. The other scientist tells him to shut up and knocks him out. The party attempts to question the other scientist, while doing so the phase world stargate powers on. The party is unsure of how to react and waits. When the stargate opens a troop of 4 guys with heavy body armor and heavy energy rifles come through. Trevor flies his power armor through the stargate and sees a group of guys getting ready to transport large crates through the stargate. Trevor immediately flies back through the stargate. The rest of the party has dispatched of three of the guys, one of the guys runs. Trevor just misses the final guy as he rolls under the flying power armor and escapes through the stargate. During the commotion the conscious scientist fled, the other scientist is just coming to. Takeo tells the scientist to turn on the portal to the New Empire Kyoto City. Frank is tempted to take Trevor back to Chi-Town by force with the outpost stargate right here, and neural strikes Trevor. Trevor is able to use the power armor with his psionic abilities even though he is paralyzed. Trevor attempt to grab Frank in retaliation to being neural stiked, he misses. They notice more troops coming through the phase world stargate, so they retreat through the New Empire Kyoto City (1st Ring) stargate.

December 31, 101 P.A.

The Coalition States, in America, currently have no presence in Japan. However, a Scarab Officer's Vehicle is making its way through the Republic of Japan. Inside is Frank Hamilton, a childhood friend of Trevor's from the Chi-Town burbs. Frank is a Psi-Slayer, having abilities is something that helped him and Trevor bond as children. Frank's lottery number came up shortly after Trevor left and he was admitted access to the city of Chi-Town, if  he joined the Psi-Battalion. Frank underwent his training and was given his first mission, to find his childhood friend Trevor and escort him back to Chi-Town. Trevor's lottery number came up too (the CS has taken notice of his abilities and wants him working for them). So, Frank finds himself in this nice Scarab Officer's Hover Vehicle with plenty of supplies to get him to Japan. Frank is to radio in a report once a month and he will receive an allowance. As Frank drives aimlessly through  Ulo Town, he gets a tingle his Psi-Tracking has kicked in. That means he is with in a few miles of his target, Trevor Burnside. Finally after looking for so long a solid lead, now its only a matter of time. Frank inquires about the New Empire and finds out that technology is outlawed. So, he buys supplies and rents a room at the hotel and a spot in the garage to store his vehicle. Frank can sense where Trevor is so he proceeds on foot until he reaches a 3 floor palace. Trevor must be inside.

Two days ago in a CS occupied section of the magic zone (America), a troop of veteran CS Wilderness Scouts known as the Green Helms are out collecting magic creatures. They have orders to capture creatures of magic and sell them to the Pacos Empire Logistics and Movement Infinity Company (PELMIC). PELMIC is a company located in the Pacos Empire, they install stargates and provide transportation services to private companies and clients. Right now PELMIC is buying magic creatures and selling them to one of their clients (the New Empire). Runick Skyknight, a Elemental Fusionist was going about his usual business living as a free spirit at one with the elements. Having lived in this section of the magic zone his whole life Runick is use to avoiding CS patrols. But his luck ran out today, he up against the Green Helms. They prowl up on the creature making their scanners spike. Before he knows what is happening Runick Skyknight is hit with 3 tranquilizer darts and blacks out. Two days later Runick Skyknight wakes up in darkness and finds himself in a box, he calls out.

Trevor, Takeo, Shonen, and Ryoko are in the palace they head upstairs right after they heard the voices. When they get up to the second floor they see a new crate in the center of the room. All the magic creatures still seem subdued, but as the party makes its way toward the stairs to the top floor they hear a noise. They hear someone calling out from the crate in the middle of the room. Trevor opens the crate, out comes Runick Skyknight. They introduce themselves, and share stories of what happened to them. Then the party (now with Runick) proceed upstairs to see if those guys are there, they aren't. Once upstairs the party talks more and Trevor inspects the stargate, he still can't figure out where it leads. They hear the door of the palace creak open, the party hides upstairs and waits. They hear someone coming up the stairs. Frank Hamilton (detect ambush) decides to announce his arrival. He calls out to Trevor. "Trevor! It's me Frank!" He enters the third floor with his weapons up and greets Trevor. When he gets in he tells Trevor that his lottery number has come up and that their childhood dreams of being accepted into Chi-Town are coming true, the CS want Trevor. Runick immediately becomes apprehensive and defensive at the mention of the CS. Trevor tells Frank that Runick was captured by CS troops and ended up here. Frank retracts his statement of working for the CS. and says he was barely let into the city and doesn't really know about what the CS really does. Runick is uneasy but stays under Trevor's assurance of safety, Frank even offer Runick a ride back to America when they go back. Trevor tells Frank that they can't go back to America until he finishes his mission. Frank asks about the mission, Trevor tells him he was hired to deliver a suit that was stolen. They decide to go retrieve the suit, and in order to do so they must travel to Iwakuni. Takeo, Shonen and Ryoko want to continue toward the Millennium Tree, the party splits.

Trevor Burnside (psi-tech), Frank Hamilton (psi-slayer), and Runick Skyknight (elemental fusionist) decide to walk back to Ulo Town to get the hover vehicle and gear the Frank has stored there. Frank Hamilton (streetwise) finds a black market dealer/snitch in town. Trevor has Frank inquire about purchasing a cheap power armor. The snitch tries to up sell them, so Trevor asks for the most expensive armor. The snitch says, "OH! That you can only get that in Iwakuni its the hub of the Black Market in Japan. Best guy for power armors is Bluey, but he's hard to get a meeting with. Your best bet is to find him in Bakar's Bar on 5th Ave. Ask for Frago and Razo." The three drive into the Republic of Japan toward Iwakuni. Along the way they see 6 oni demon, they fire missiles from a distance. The oni try defensive magic that is no use to them, so they flee. 4 of the oni get away but the party collects 2 of the heads and return to Ulo Town to retrieve their bounty. Now the bounty has gone up to 1000credits per head since the "protectors" the mandalorian mercs have gone missing. They now drive straight to Iwakuni without interruption. They pull up to hotel and ask a doorman where 5th Ave. is, on the other side of town. Runick suggest that they go fishing for food, he then boils water and catches 4 fish already cooked. After the party feeds they continue, they ask a man on the street for directions to Bakar's Bar. The man is happy to trade the information for some fish. When they get to the bar Frank bribes the bouncer and get the three of them in the bar. Frank also goes up to the bar and bribes the bartender for information, he points out Frago and Razo. The party approaches the two guys and are stopped by security. Once they announce who they are, they are let in to the VIP section to see Frago and Razo. They negotiate, the terms are that just to meet with Bluey and see the merchandise they have to bring 10% of the cost of what they want upfront. 120,000credits. A car will pick them up at midnight and take them to a warehouse just outside of town. They make the deal.

The party does not have enough credits, so they plan to bluff their way through. At midnight they show up behind the bar. Shortly after a limo comes rolling up. The door pops open and the driver says, "Get in." The party complies, and they go for a ride. About 30min later, they come rolling up to this warehouse and the pops open and the driver says, "Get out." They do and the car drives away, two men stand at the door and escort them into the building. Inside it's dark everywhere except for a light at the middle of the warehouse. The party approaches and a man sits at the desk. He asks for the money, a man comes over and grabs the suitcase with the credstick inside. The lights turn on, eight men surround the party. A large man sits at a desk, behind him stands a dragon-borg. The large man speaks, "I am Bluey, and these are the Power Armors in the price range you have asked for. Please feel free to look while we check your credstick. Any thinng here is in your price range and we will gladly explain any features to you." Trevor spots the super tengu power armor that Hagi ordered. Trevor scans it and determines the power source is in it and it is functional, he activates it and controls it with his abilities. Frank and Runick begin to fight the 8 henchmen, Trevor tries to fire a missile at the dragon-borg but there is no ammo. Trevor uses the power armor to entangle the dragon-borg while the Runick activates his flame shields and starts taking out hencemen, Frank starts firing his rifle killing the rest of the henchmen. After the henchmen are down Frank back flips on top of Bluey's desk, but bounces off a force field. Bluey laughs, "You think I'd still be sitting here if I was in any danger. Hahaha." Bluey reaches over and pushes a button on his desk, a red light starts flashing and a buzzer starts going off. The warehouse fail safe is a plasma blast that incinerates the power armors so no one can steal them. Bluey's desk and seat start descending into the floor as he laughs, "I'll see you  boys again, you can count on that. Hahaha." Trevor tells Runick and Frank to run, he will hold the dragon-borg til they can escape. They run, after they get clear Trevor releases the dragon-borg. It looks at Trevor, shakes its head then flies straight up through the skylight at full speed. Trevor quickly runs of to the power armor and gets in and flies up through the skylight just in time. The warehouse explodes.

Episode 11 "Where to?"

December 27, 101 P.A.

The party and the mercs head toward the shogun's palace, when they see a man walking toward them. When they reach this naked man, he tells them that its him Chimmy Chango the werepanther that they rescued earlier. Takeo asks him how he could still be alive. Chimmy replies, "I'm hard to kill, and call me Chi-Chi". Trevor tells Chi-Chi that they are on their way back to the palace to kill the cyborg. Trevor gives Chi-Chi his Hero Pistol and they all head to the palace. When they arrive the cyborg is waiting for them with reinforcements. There are now 5 skelbots with him, the party finds this odd in the New Empire where tech is outlawed. The group fights hard but the rail gun cut mercs down one after the other. Finally they manage to destroy the cyborg and 2 skebots, and disable 3 skelbots. The party loots the dead and gets 13 rifles 3 skelbots and 8 credsticks. After they go inside they see the remaining mercs carrying two of the treasure chest out to their vehicle. Takeo confronts them, they remind Takeo that as part of their agreement they are entitled to 2 of the chest. Takeo wants the chest they have so he argues, The mercs get defensive and finish loading the chest and tell him that they left one and they don't want any trouble. They get in their vehicle and leave. Takeo goes to check the chest and it is the one with the remaining scrolls that weren't taken the first time they looted. After the battle they notice that Chi-Chi is gone, they inspect the third floor. It is a huge room with a large machine that apear to be conected to a control council. Trevor inspects the machine and tells Takeo, "It's a Stargate, sort of like a rift or telporter, it's a gate way linked to another machine just like it. I can't tell where it goes." They decide to travel back to Ulo Town.

Due to fatigue and lack of water and food both Trevor and Takeo pass out just a couple hours from making it to town. Shonen and Ryoko have to take them the rest of the way in. They are take to Doogie's Clinic and medical clinic that works in both tech and magic. After Trevor and Takeo awake the following day they must sign a contract stating that they will pay their bill within 120 days, if the should fail to pay in full the patient shall be stricken with agony. The two of them sign and immediately go to the market to sell the loot they have. They go to Rifle Pawn and get 5000credits for the rifles. At Sacred Script Scroll Shop they get 2150credits for the scrolls. They then immediately return to Doogie's Clinic to pay their bills. The eat lamb from the market and go buy another horse. Takeo also stocks up on 11 days worth of hay and oats for his horses. They they get a hotel room, relax, buy rations and fill their canteens. In the morning they head back to the shogun's palace. When they arrive they hear a voice from upstairs, "Just put it here." -a second voice asks, "hey, where is everyone?" -first voice,"Who cares lets just leave it and get out of here." -second voice, "Alright, lets get upstairs."
