Plot Hole 26.1 "What happened to Trevor?"

Trevor spent a couple days working on his Big Bear Robot. When the big commotion in town seemed to reach Trevor he sought out Hagi. Hagi is in the big building in town and it has a samurai guard out front. When Trevor finally finds Hagi he inquires about what had happened. Hagi tells him that Takeo is suspected of coming to town and slaying Izen, Virgil and two other samurai. Hagi tells Trevor that his friends have come and gone a couple of times over the last few days. He thinks they left for the next ring. The last time they were in town they brought a man that was trapped in a glass box. Trevor asks Hagi if he knows more about the man they brought to town. Hagi points him out and Trevor follows the man into the bar.

Trevor sits at the bar with the man and asks about his friends. The man offers little information, but says that he is indebted to the dolphin man, Kreesh. Trevor finishes his drink and leaves the bar, on his way out he takes out his mirror of true seeing and looks back at the man. Trevor sees his true form, he is a Demon Wolf of Dyval. Trevor leaves the bar and runs to meet with Limini and tells the samurai what he has seen and warns them that Bakura is a demon in disguise. Limini thanks Trevor for his tip and says they will handle it.

Trevor goes to find Hagi again. This time there is no guard out front. He tells Hagi about the Bakura, and how the samurai said they would handle it dismissing his warnings. Hagi says that is peculiar indeed. As they speak the cries of battle erupt. They rush outside to see a full blown battle taking place. Demons and samurai alike seem to be striking down all the army troops that Hagi brought to town. The human troops don't stand a chance being caught off guard.

Hagi turns to Trevor, "This battle is lost. I fear the army will not prevail. We must flee, there's nothing we can do here. Get to safety, I will go for the generator weapon Izen built. I will save the generator and meet with you and your friends later. Go... and good luck."

Trevor talks off running straight for the garage where the Big Bear Robot is. He gets in it and begins fleeing the city.

Trevor travels all day and follows along the magic barrier to the next ring contemplating how he will get across. The Big Bear Robot won't swim so he can't take the underwater passage. As dusk falls Trevor sees a light in the distance through his scanners, its a camp fire. Trevor decides to hide his robot in the nearby woods and proceed to the camp fire on foot. As he approaches he is greeted by a man who calls himself Grey Wolf.

"I am Grey Wolf and we are the Cloud Wolves. That's Blue Wolf, Red Wolf, Yellow Wolf,...(and so on)... We are nomads that travel the great mainland, and seek away home. It seems the magic barrier leading to the coast has fallen recently so we are no longer stuck in this ring. We will be getting far from here very soon."

Trevor ant Grey Wolf talk for awhile. Every time Trevor mentions fighting the demons The Cloud Wolves laugh. they think he is joking and can't fathom someone choosing to fight the demons and seeking them out. Trevor asks if they know of the mage in this ring (he remembered his friends were seeking the mage). The Grey Wolf tells Trevor that they do know and they will show him the way in the morning. Tonight they should eat, drink, and be merry. Grey Wolf hands a bottle to Trevor, he is hesitant to drink but does.

In the morning Trevor awakens to the bright blinding sunlight in his eyes. He was drugged. He looks around, the Cloud Wolves are gone and so is his stuff. He has been robbed. When Trevor inspects his remaining belongings he finds his rations and a map with a dotted line leading to a mountain and an X on it. The map reads "mage here" Trevor shakes his head in disappointment for allowing himself to be drugged and robbed, but grateful that Grey Wolf kept his word and showed him the way on the map. Trevor finds his Big Bear Robot right where he hid it and travels to the base of the mountain.

Trevor travels up the mountain to find Kaleb and the orphanage. Whe he finds them he asks Kaleb about his friends. She tells him what she knows and that they raised Sparticus. Trevor asks if she knows how he can get passed the magic barrier. She offers one possible way. If Trevor were to travel to the top of the mountain and collect a flower that only grows up there she could cast a spell that will send Trevor to his closet friend. Trevor agrees and sets off. Little Johnny follows Trevor and offers to show him the way if he will take him with on the adventure.

Along the way Trevor and Johnny encounter some abdominal snowmen. They have giant boulders of snow hurled at them. Trevor saves Johnny from being knocked off the mountain and defeats the yeti. The two of them finish the climb and collect the flower. Trevor sees three flowers and decides to pluck two of them.

Trevor and Johnny return to the village, upon which Trevor receives a scolding for taking Johnny with him. But thanks for protecting him. Kaleb sends a troop of the boys down to retrieve Trevor's Big Bear Robot and bring it up the mountain. In the mean time Trevor rests and awaits Kaleb's ritual.

Trevor gets in his robot and she begins.  The wind swirls around ferociously and there is a bright flash of blue light. Trevor is gone, only Kaleb and the orphans remain.

In the shadow of the last great human city, the fortress city, Chi-Town, there exist suburbs made up of thousands of people. Humans that huddle around the city in hopes of being kept safe from the hordes of Dimensional Beings. The massive military presence makes Chi-Town the head of the Coalition States, a series of small human cities in North America that have endured through the great cataclysm. Many humans flock to the burbs of Chi-town in hopes of gaining citizenship and being allowed into the fortress city. Others live in fear of the CS militay, as all magic and DB's have been deemed evil even psychic activity is highly regulated. Troops patrol the streets of the burbs hunting any and all "domestic terrorist" and eliminating any threats to the Coalition States.

Frank Hamilton is a 15 years old boy with latent psionic abilities. He was born to a mother who, at one time, lived for adventure. In an attempt to gain power she began drinking psi-cola. She manifested great abilities, but had quickly become addicted. In her travels she had become pregnant and migrated back to the Chi-Town burbs in hopes of finding a safe place to raise her son. Her addiction was strong and she lived out her days as a psi-cola junkie burnout, in the ruins of an old home on the most outskirts of the Chi-Town burbs.

On this particular day, Frank woke up at 7:00am and opened the door to his room door. Frank and his mother live in a three room building that is falling apart. In the outskirts of the burbs people make their homes in the rubble of the pre-rifts buildings. He enters the middle area and feels hungry. He looks for food but doesn't find any. He calls out, "Mom!" there is no response. He calls out again, "Mom!" again no response. He opens the door to her room and sees her sleeping on a cot with bottles of psi-cols at the floor. Frank tries to shake her, she doesn't wake up. Franks tries to check her vitals, and fails, he thinks his mom is passed out from a binge.

Frank heads to the market place, along the way the landlord, Mr. Roper, sees him. The landlord yells at Frank about the rent and tells him they are 2 weeks late, if they don't pay this week they are out. Frank goes to the market but doesn't have money, he returns home and sees an APC out in front of his place. There are paramedics and police there. Frank goes to talk to them and the tell him his mom is dead. They also tell him that they would like him to go with them for safety and to answer a few questions. Frank runs away. Feeling hungry Frank returns to the market and attempts to steal some fruit. He gets caught by Bob the fruit stand guy. Bob threatens to Frank then offers him a deal, a way to work off the food he was stealing. Bob tells Frank, "You must go into the Old Town burbs, where its much nicer, and find a bar called 'Time Out.' Pick up a package from a guy named Slick and bring it back to me. You do this and you might find yourself a regular job here."

Frank travels inward toward Chi-Town into the Old Town Burbs and finds the bar 'Time Out'. He tries to go in but security won't let a minor in. Franks tries to sneak around back through the ally.

In the Old Town burbs things are much nicer than on the outskirts. This is because they are closer to the fortress city and the number of CS troops in this area is extremely high... And the law is strict.

Trevor Burnside is a 14 yea old boy with psi-tech abilities. He was born to a conventional family, he had a mother and a father. They were rather wealthy and seemed rather mundane like everyone else, except for the fact that they happened to be major contributors and key figureheads in an underground school. With school being outlawed in the Chi-Town burbs, Trevor's parents helped found the underground school. This is whee Trevor as been developing his abilities.

Today, like any other day, Trevor walks to school. Along the way he passes an alley where he sees seven guys surrounding and pushing a kid around, down the alley. Trevor looks in and yells, "Hey!" and uses his abilities to flicker the lights in the alley. The gang of guys laugh and begin approaching Trevor. A car happens to drive by and Trevor possess the car and tuns it down the alley and revs the engine. The gang members run away back down the alley, Trevor releases the car from his control. He then approaches the boy and notices that he has Psi-Claws sticking out of his hands. He introduces himself, "I'm Trevor. Are you Ok?" The boy responds, "Yea, Thanks. I'm Frank. How did you do that?" Trevor responds, "The same way you do that." and points to the psi-claws.

Frank is surprised to see the claws, his powers must have manifested in the face of danger, and begins to swing them around. The two boys talk about everything, Trevor knows of this Slick and talks Frank into believing he is no good, to stay away. Trevor tells Frank that he is late for school, and that if he can wait 5 hours he will return and sneak Frank into his garage and get him some food. Frank agrees to wait and Trevor walks to school. Trevor sees the gang from earlier along the way but avoids running into them.

When Trevor returns from school he take Frank home to a large condo building. He tells him, "We live on the 14th floor unit #7. We can sneak you into the hover car garage up there. When sneaking in the two of them make too much noise and are caught by Trevor's father. His father, Wilton, questions Frank, at first Frank tries to lie but eventually breaks and tells them everything.

For two years Frank has lived with the Burnside's, for two yeas he has gone to underground school and practiced his abilities.

Trevor and Frank walk to school as usual. When they get within a block, they notice CS Psi-Division troops at the school. The CS troops appear to be arresting people, and bringing some out in body bags. Trevor and Frank run home immediately, and tell his mom. Trevor's mother tells the boys to run to his father's workshop and warn him. She says something about staying to clean up and pushes the boys out the back door. Frank and Trevor run to his father's workshop and warn him, his father tells the to get in the car they have to go. When Trevor's father opens the workshop garage door to dive out, A Samus Power Armor and a small squad of grunts in dead boy armor stand in the door way. Wilton tells the boys, "Run! And what ever happens don't get caught. Your mother will have cleaned up. Find your uncle Hansel in the burb city side. He will keep you safe. He'll be at a body shop called 'Arm and a Leg' ask for Pete. Go, Now!"

The boys get out of the car and run for the back door, looking back to see Wilton drive the car into the troops and hear gun fire as they flee. The boy make the seven hour trip to city side, and rent a hotel room with the cred stick Trevor has. in the morning they eat breakfast and ask the front desk for directions to the body shop. When they arrive they ask for Pete and tell them Trevor is Hansel's nephew. They are told to go down the hall last door on the left. When they open the door they see a closet. They enter and close the door behind them,  a stairway reveals itself. The two of them go down into a speakeasy. They sit at the bar and ask for Hansel, a short while later Trevor's uncle comes to see them.

After they explain everything that has happened, Trevor's weary uncle responds, "Well I am truly sorry to hear that your parents are probably dead. Your father was right in sending you to me, after all that was the plan eventually. I suppose now is a good a time as any for you to join the "underground railroad". But alas you will not just be accepted in you must prove yourselves. But if you truly are my brother's son the two of you should have no problem." Hansel goes on to tell them they have to raid a CS outpost in far outskirts of the burbs and retrieve data file CSBVL-1 and CSBVI-1-100.

The outpost is far from Chi-Town, so there aren't many soldiers there. The two of them use telekinesis to throw the guards into each other and knock them out. Trevor then enters the computer world to battle the security system, eventually just possessing the AI and forcing it to drop the securities and release the files. Trevor reads the files before he leaves the compute world. He sees that they are the location and inventory for something called the Black Vault. The two of them run back to Hansel and deliver the files.

"Very good my boys. You have proven yourselves in spades. The "underground railroad" will take you in and provide. But.. this will be the first and last time you do anything illegal. The two of you will be the epitome of law abiding citizens. And you will register with the Psi-Net program, as the law requires, and apply for citizenship. On day you will be accepted in and the dreams of all these people living in these burbs will become a reality for you. With your abilities we will build your reputations and they will seek you."
