May 14, 101P.A.

Orihime tells the party she must leave and can not turn back now. She must continue to make forward progress. As much as she'd like to help she can't. Chaz/Hagi agrees to help Takeo again. They decide to go to another low life bar (Chaz uses his streetwise) to see if they can get information on Shadow. They find out he is know for his brutality and ruthlessness and they also manage to set up a meeting with him for 10,000credits. They are told someone will call with more information, so they go back to the hotel to wait by the phone. A couple days later it rings and a voice says, "Bring the money and meet under the Ol' Town bridge in three days at noon." Then it hangs up, the party decide to travel to the bridge. When the get close by they realize that its not there. So they ask around and are told that it is there but underground in Ol' Town the original city that this one was built on top of. So the hire someone to drive them there. When they arrive they see an entire city under the surface city. Their driver refuses to go any further and drops them off at the bottom of the ramp heading down. They decide to rent a room in Ol' Town  and travel on to the bridge. The bridge is void of light and the party attempts to cross the bridge. When they get about half way across (30 min walk) a spot light comes on and they are told the are entering a restricted area they must turn back. They do.

The go to a bar and grab a drink. While they are in there a argument between two men escalates and a fight breaks out. One man pulls a gun, fires and misses. The other man pulls a knife. Takeo intervenes and magic nets the man with the gun and disarms the man with the knife. The man begins to thank Takeo for subduing the man with the gun. Takeo asks the man if he knows how to get under the bridge, the man says yes and agrees to show them the way. He introduces himself as Chucki and takes the three, (Takeo, Shonen, Chaz) to a sewer and tells them this is the only way down. They climb down where it is completely pitch black and are being lead around blind. Takeo decides to turn on his light blade it ignites gasses in the air. In the huge explosion Chaz/Hagi is severly injured and Chuck is killed. Shonen and Takeo drag Chaz out of the sewer and over to a hospital. They are forced to wait in line for an hour before they see a receptionist. When they approach she nonchalantly asks them to fill out a form. Takeo tells her of the severity of Chaz/Hagi's wounds. She nonchalantly repeats herself and asks them to fill out a form. Takeo tries to convince the lady that Chaz is important and mentions he has lots of money and comes from the surface. When she hears that he is from the surface her expression changes and she pushes a button on her desk. Immediately orderlies and nurses rush in and admit Chaz/Hagi. The receptionist assures them he will receive the best treatment. Takeo and Shonen go to the store to buy a flashlight and luminescent spray paint to mark the path they take in the sewers While there Takeo finds and buys new cloths and the following books; Book of Myths, Secrets Untold, Wiccan, The Gods, Religion Fact or Fake. (the books contain clues about the Demon Queller Society)

They return to the sewers and navigate their way through and come out an exit pipe under the bridge. When they arrive there is a large power armor waiting for them. It asks for the money, takes the credstick checks it and then asks, "What's the job?" Takeo begins to ask him about the sword he recently acquired. Shadow immediately seems agitated, "You waste my time with this?" Takeo becomes arrogant and tells him they paid for a meeting. Shadow tells him, "You know my business you shouldn't have come to me with anything else. What a pity, I don't even have it anymore. The Big Boss wanted it, once he saw the other one. He called them a set." he then turns and walks away. As he walks away 8 guys and a robot vehicle come out from behind the bridge's supports. Takeo and Shonen have a very long battle avoiding many hits, but managing to disable the robot vehicle, kill 3 guys, cut the arms off of 2 guys and the remaining 3 escaped. After the battle Shadow was nowhere to be seen. They return to O'Town level of the city, rest and visit Hagi/Chaz. Shonen tries to use magic to heal Chaz/Hagi and an alarm sounds. Takeo and Shonen immediately leave and figure Chaz/Hagi would be fine, they were taking really good care of him. They return to the surface and leave Kure headed back to Shikoku Island for Takamatsu City. The only way they know back is through Ichto Ports.

So they begin walking, but it's a very long journey since there are very few ramps left connecting the two. Takeo and Shonen camp along the side of the road and are attacked by bandits. They manage to fend of the raiders but are severely injured. They continue up the road and seek shelter in a cave. After a short time in the cave they hear the calls of a woman. Takeo prowls up and sees a goblin spider. Recognizing what it is Takeo suggest they sneak out and leave immediately. While walking still completely beat up and depleted of all energy they see a large silver dragon heading straight for them. To tired to do much they attempt to hide but there is nowhere to hide. They simple stand to the side of the road, and a huge machine comes to stop in front of them. A hatch open and a young man pops out. He asks them, "Are you Ok, cuz you look like shit" They tell him what happened and the guy offers them a ride if them don't mind going for a ride back to Kure. "We gotta drop off a package for a friend." They agree and board the silver dragon. It was a tight fit inside and they met two gunners, but they were grateful for the ride. Takeo asks."What is this thing?" The man reply proudly "This is one of the Tatsu 16, The Legendary War Machines that protect Ichto." They ride back to Kure and when they get ready to drop off the package Takeo over hears one of the men saying "Make the drop Chaz is ready." Then before Takeo could react the drop was made and they were on their way back to Ichto. Takeo talks to the men a finds out they are friends of Chaz. When they return to Ichto they dropped off and rest in the hotel for a few days. When they recoup Takeo uses a phone book to find a travel agent. And they book a boat passage directly to Takamatsu City on Shikoku Island.

Episode 5 "There... and Back Again?"

April 10, 101P.A.

The ship arrives at a port in Ichto. Ichto has very advanced Tech and is under constant attack from Shinto Fanatics and the Tech manufactures in Japan. Ryoko looks at Shonen, says "watch this" and waves his hand and the monitors of arrivals and departures begins to flicker and becomes all static, the old monk snickers. Immediately when they pass through security an alarm sounds. As Ryoko passes through a magic detector, lights start flashing. All magic has been outlawed within the city limits of Ichto, as magic is the weapon of choice for Shinto Fanatics. With surprising speed both the old monk takes off running, laughing along the way. The others stand there dumbfounded and continue through security. Chaz takes them to a very nice hotel in the center of town. They stay in a penthouse suite, Chaz once again says he has business and that he will return tomorrow at 9am. While in the nice hotel Shonen and Takeo go downstairs to the bar, and they see their first Dragon Borgs. 2 of them are standing near a booth in the back where a small nerdy business man sits.  They order drinks but have no credits t pay and offer to pay in gold. The bartender says hold on and calls security, because everyone pays in credits. "Only the non-tech users pay with gold" Security comes and demands that they prove they are not Shintoist and they must show them some sort of technology. "Only Shintoist don't carry Tech" The litte man from the back gets up and steps in asking. "Aren't you the gentlemen that came in with Chaz?" They say "Yes" and the man introduces himself as Mr. Moyomoto the owner of the Hotel and he tells security,  "These men are VIP please don't bother them, drinks are on the house." He tells them how much of a valued customer Chaz is. They finish their drinks and go to their room to sleep. Once again Chaz arrives on time and tells them it is time to go. They make their way to the city boarder. A giant wall surrounding the city separating it from the Republic of Japan. They pass through customs as a "family" again. Just as they leave there is a massive explosion. Chaz
then picks up a Motorcycle he had in storage outside the boarder wall, and tells them that he has business to attend to and if they want to continue to travel together that they must meet him in the city of Kure at the hotel downtown ask for "Hagi"  in 3 weeks and then he speeds off.

The three, Orihime, Shonen, Takeo, travel on foot for many miles and camp along the way, encountering the occasional lesser demon. When the arrive at Kure they enter the town through the slums side of town. Takeo and Shonen are tired and decide to spend the night in the first shadey hotel they see. In the middle of the night a prowler robs them of all their belongs that they did not sleep with. When Takeo awakes he is distraught to know that his sword and his father's sword are gone. They go out into the town and find  weapons shop and a bar, run by the foot clan. Orihime tells them she will use her skill to create a guise and infiltrate the blackmarket underground by getting a job a the bar. The others are offered a job by the weapons shop owner to ensure the safe pick up of some weapons shipments. Takeo and Shonen go to oversee the shipment when they are attacked by an extremely nice power armor that flew in and killed everyone except for them. The power armor used TW magic net cannon to subdue Takeo and Shonen then it took the shipment and flew away. (It was Chaz that stole the weapons shipment). On their way home, heads hung low from their failure, a car pulls up to them and inside is Chaz he offers them a ride the tell him about how the past few weeks and how they got robbed and failed their mission. Chaz gives them 25,000 credits on a cred stick and told them that he had a crate of weapons in the back that they could give to the shop owner, so they could say they saved one crate at least. Chaz drops them off at their shitty hotel and asks them how come they didn't go downtown. He offer to take them there after they drop off the crate. The weapons shop owner is mad and refuse to pay them "one crate is not enough", so the get in Chaz's car and leave. As the drive away the weapons shop is engulfed in flames with a small explosion. They go to the hotel downtown where they wait a couple days as Orihime had asked before they return to the bar.

In the mean time they came across a woman who said her child went missing at the community center. Takeo investigates and knows the leader of the center is a demon, with his demon lore. The party attacks the center killing the leader and his 5 followers. They collected 500,000 credits from the center. The next day Chaz tells them how e is know as Hagi and should only be called Hagi when in the Republic of Japan. Chaz/Hagi then takes them shopping for urban body armor so they can blend in when they go to the bar. They go to the bar and sit at a table. Its filled with the foot clan. They do not see Orihime in sight, the waitress comes up to them takes their orders, bring their drinks and says "hi I'm Rukia". They drink their drinks and Takeo notices something written on his napkin.  "Takeo, it's me Orihime. Meet me out back in 30min." Takeo looks over to the waitress, who looks nothing like Orihime (high Disguise skill), and sees her sitting on the lap of a large man. 30 min later Takeo goes out back and sees Orihime/Rukia and the large man all over her attempting to force himself on her. She takes out a knife and stabs him in the leg and stuffs a rag in his mouth, (and rolls a successful K.O.) She tells Takeo to move him, Takeo goes in to get Hagi/Chaz. Chaz goes to get the car, Takeo goes back outside. They move the body, and Takeo goes back in to find Shonen in another bar fight with 10 guys laid out cold already. Shonen stops to greet his brother and get shot in the back, getting K.O. Takeo rushes in taking shots off the chest, ruining his body armor and saving his brother. They then go to a sleezy motel. Orihime brutally interrogates the man and finds out that the swords were split up. One was sold locally to a hit man named Shadow and the other one, the special one (his father's), was sent back to Headquarters, Takamatsu City on Shikoku Island, for a collector. They also were told of a rumor of the "big boss" that runs everything, all syndicates.

Episode 4 "New Lands, New Friends, New Drinks"

March 15, 101P.A.

Takeo, Shonen, Ryoko, and Orihime approach the grisly looking man that seems to be giving all the orders. Takeo introduces himself to Captain Swasbuck, and asks if they can hitch a ride to the next island, Shikoku. Capt. Swasbuck says, "nobody rides for free."  The party then rummage through their belongings and offer items in trade. For the four of them to get passage aboard the ship it cost them, 2 knifes and 2 Silver Bracelets. The party rides in one of the cargo bays as the sail across the small section of ocean that separates the two islands.  When the arrive on the island of Shikoku they are dropped of in a very secluded part of the island, with make shift docks clearly for smugglers. Having no other form of transport the four set out on foot, headed in the general direction of the new empire. After walking a few hours they come across a sign that leads them to Dok City a small city on the coast with heavy boat traffic. Although it is a very small city with barely any tech, it appears huge and very advanced to the party as they have never set foot in a city before.

The party walks through the town, when they come across a bar/inn they stop to have a drink. Takeo orders a whiskey, double. Shonen has one as well and Ryoko has a triple.  Takeo asks the bartender about passage to the mainland, the bartender tells him lots of ships come through here. They then pay for a room and the three go to spend the night. In the morning they wake up and the bar is still filled with drunk low lives, Ryoko is already down stairs drinking and has befriended a very sharply dressed man. The man sticks out like a sore thumb in this place with his expensive suit. Never the less him and Ryoko are laughing it up at the expense of a local drunk thug. The thug has had enough and gets up to exchange words with the old man. The nicely dressed man steps between them and gets shoved down, as the thug draws a pistol and shoots the old monk. Takeo and Shonen see this from the balcony upstairs, they immediately jump down and begin to dispatch of the gunman and a couple of his gang while the rest run away. After Shonen did some light healing touch on Ryoko, they go out on to the street and see this town in the daylight for the first time. The well dressed man tell him that his name is Chaz and they can go back to his place to rest. Surely that gang would return with more men. Takeo rests back at Chaz's place while Shonen does some healing touch on him. Chaz and Takeo talk, Takeo tell his story and Chaz offers some information on what he has heard of the Demon Queller Society and gives Takeo a H-brand H-10 Laser Pistol and shows him how to use it. But most importantly Chaz tells them that he can get them passage to the main land if they were willing to travel with him. He will be leaving tomorrow and that he has to make a stop first. They agree. Takeo goes out in to the city, everything is very low level tech but it amazes him all the same. A police officer approaches Takeo, unknowing of the customs he mouths off and disregards the police office. The Police Officer pulls out a stun gun and shoots Takeo.

Takeo wakes up in a jail cell and must pay a 10,000 credit fine for disorderly conduct. He then visits the shops and purchases a vibro-katana, explosive arrows, blow darts, and a case for his father's sword. Then he returns and they leave the following day. They arrive at Guarded City a small area not far outside Dok City where all the commercial ships and travels must go through. (like a huge TSA checkpoint) While waiting to enter the city someone pick pockets Takeo, but he notices so he calls lightning on the thief as he runs away incinerating him. Once in Chaz talks to all the guards that they pass and tells them that they are family traveling to visit more family. At the final station Chaz slips the guard some gold. and they are allowed in. Once in they see many huge docks and buildings and lots of people loading and unloading from boats. Chaz takes the to a hotel and gets a room. He tells them that he has business to attend to that he will be back 10am tomorrow. The following morning Takeo gets up early and wanders the village. He finds a TW store and is facinated. The shop keeper offers Takeo a job in exchange for a weapon. Takeo accepts, then rushes back to meet with Chaz. He arrives to see Chaz talking to the others, he starts saying that they should be leaving "NOW!" he has acquired a ride to the main land. Just as they head for the ship there is a huge explosion at one of the taller buildings in town. Chaz hurries them along.

Episode 3 "Guardian Monks!"

February 3, 101P.A.

Takeo begins his long walk up the winding road, at the the top he is met with closed blast doors. There also hangs a massive bell 15' tall, alongside it a large wooden post for striking the bell. Takeo swings the large post and give the bell a ring. A few moments later a smaller door, within the large blast doors, opens almost as if by itself. Takeo enters and finds himself on a 100yrd  bridge leading through cherry trees and over a large coy pond, right up to a set of gates. Takeo continues down the bridge until a hooded figure wielding a staff appears in front of him. The hooded figure leaps a Takeo and the two engage in melee combat. The hooded figure lands a couple of hits, of clearly "pulled" hits. Takeo manages to parry of the hits, but fails to land a strike on the leaping man. Takeo has never seen such a fighting style, Tengujitsu, as the figure avoided all of his attacks flipping gracefully through the air. Finally Takeo comes close to landing a hit just as the hooded figure back flips out of the way, and begins laughing as he pull down his hood revealing a young boy.

"Brother" laughs the boy, "You have been neglecting your training. You look exactly like the photos mother has sent of you." The boy introduces himself as Shonen Kiske, a name given to him by the monks. They exchange greetings and Takeo tells Shonen all about what has happened to their family and his journey here. He shows him the sword of their father and the letter Hitsuguya was carrying for help. Shonen invites his brother into the monastery, and explains that it must be fate that his brother come now. Shonen is now 15yo and must make his Holy Pilgrimage to the monastery in Kyoto in the New Empire to visit the Millennium Tree. Shonen takes Takeo to meet Hito one of the elder monks of this monastery. Takeo shares his story with Hito, and gives him the letter for help. Hito says he will send a rider to a near by village to gather men and supplies for help and send them back to his home village. Then asks if Takeo would accept the quest of escorting his brother to the Millennium Tree, and that they must take the old man who trained Shonen, the old monk Ryoko. Hito asks to see his father's sword,  Hito explains that Takeo is lucky for not using his fathers sword thus far in battle, for if he were it would break. He then tells Takeo a little about the Demon Queller Society and that he should take the sword there.

The three set out on the pilgrimage. Along the way, after they finally leave the mountain ranges, they stop and camp. At night the party sleeps when they are awoken by the noise of wolves howling and barking. They see a lady running from a small pack of wolves. Takeo manages to trap the wolves in a series of magic nets. The lady introduces herself as Orihime. Takeo casts words of truth on her and asks her what she was doing. She begins to tell him that she comes from an ancient ninja training camp and she is on a mission. A mission to kill the emperor of the New Empire. She then asks if she could travel with them. They accept her into the party and they continue to travel, camping along the way fishing and hunting until they reach the coast. They follow the coast coming across a small make shift dock for smugglers, a large ship is currently docked there and people are loading crates.

Episode 2 "The Grey"

January 15, 101P.A.

The three chosen riders; Jono, Hitsuguya, and Itzo, with Takeo venture out through the valley. Then the party runs. The pack of wolves manages dismount Jono and they tear him apart. The other three riders escape. Itzo quits and returns to town, deeming the quest too dangerous. Hitsuguya suggests that they go about their journey in another way, and that they travel together. Takeo and Hitsuguya return to town and choose to pay a local fisher to sail them across the lake to the west. While on the ship Takeo sees his first dragon fly overhead. At the other end of the lake the fishermen give Takeo and Hitsuguya smoked fish rations and point them in the right direction.  Having bypassed the mountain valley, the road ahead of them seemed safest. Until they see a Japanese Imp in the middle of the road ahead of them. The son of a demon queller, rushes out to kill the imp when 4 more imps come out of hiding. Episode 1 "A 1st Journey Begins"

photo from: http://www.weltrekordreise.ch/a_akt_d_japane.html

January 12, 101P.A.

A young Takeo Takahido, son of a retired Demon Queller, returns home after going out and checking his traps for game. Upon the horizon he sees burning homes in the small fishing village, smoldering ruins, screaming women and children. Takeo sprints into the village headed straight for home, passing a number of burning homes. He hears screams from one of the buildings, and runs in to investigate. Running upstairs he sees a little girl hiding in a closet and tells her to run. A small amount of burning rubble falls on her when she runs, Takeo is forced to carry her out ending his search of the home. Takeo hears gun shots in the distance and begins running toward the shoreline, passing his burning house on the way. He arrives at the shore in time to see a Horune Dream Ship sailing away. Takeo returns home to burnt ruins, he finds the charred remains of his two youngest siblings. He then heads towards the center of town, where the villagers made their last stand. Among the dead he find his mother and barely alive father. With his dying breath Takeo's father tells him to take his sword and to find his last living relative, Takeo's brother who was sent away to the monastery at a very young age.
